Residence Inn by Marriott Clearwater Beach

I love this hotel. I've stayed there my last 3 vacations. They started construction to renovate the building the week before we arrived. Although they hid the construction well, it was difficult getting an elevator (2 of which were broken most of this stay), the pool was closed 1 day, housekeeping was not up to par this stay, the workers were very loud outside my balcony during the day, breakfast was reduced (no more waffle maker and no more flavored coffee creamer), just overall not what I've experienced in the past. I'm sure when the renovation is over, it will be a 5 star stay again. The staff was incredibly polite, welcoming and helpful, as usual. I really dislike the front desk being at the parking garage level. Looking forward to the lobby being open again!

I recommend asking for a room far from the music of the restaurant.

Perfect location to the beach! There is an ice cream shop next door with excellent ice cream.

We did not like that the only way to order from the hotels restaurant was to stand out in the sun by the pool. Makes trying to feed your family very uncomfortable. Also the hall ways are very warm and dirty. There were smashed chips all through the hall from the day we checked in to the day we left. We saw house keeping carts in the hall each day not sure why they did not bother to clean them up.

Nice hotel. Crazy expensive parking fees.

Close proximity to the beach and all fun activities and eatery. Nice daily continental breakfast with plenty of food choices and the kitchen and cleaning staffs worked hard to keep the dining area clean. Good room size and kitchenette with all necessary appliances and cookware. On the negative side, no balcony in my particular room, the pool is very small for the vast numbers of tenants stayed, and the laundry room with most washers/dryers broken and required an app to access.

It didn’t say while making the reservation that there was a charge for parking, I ended up paying about $42 plus tax per day. I didn’t appreciate that hidden fee.

This was my family‘s first vacation to Clearwater, Florida, and we will definitely be going back. Rooms were clean. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was delicious. We unfortunately did not have a balcony in our room, but the views through the window to the golf were great would highly recommend this hotel and we will be going back in the near future

EVERYTHING WAS EXCELLENT!

Definitely not what we expected. The hotel can't handle a busy weekend and facilities are not the greatest. A very small pool not enough for the hotel capacity. There is not enough tables for breakfast, you feel you are in the hunger games. They provided one blanket for a room for 4. Not enough towels. We requested towels at 3 o'clock and by 10 pm nothing.

We really enjoyed our stay.

Great place to stay in Clearwater. Wish we’d done more than one night to make the most of the facilities. We stayed as a one night stay during our visit to Disney World. Hotel was very close to the beach / marina. Hotel staff very friendly. The queen suite was much bigger than expected, would be ideal for a short stay with the kitchen area too. The bars nearby had music playing loudly until around 11pm, just something to bear in mind if you have younger children.

Parking was 40$ a night. That surprise was spring on us at check-in. They ran out of beach towels so no towels for us. The salt and pepper shakers in the rooms just had a few packets in them. Also it says waterfront- not beachfront. A little disappointed with these things. The hotel was nice and clean. Conveniently located. The staff was nice.

The hotel was unclean and poorly maintained. Housekeeping standards were inadequate, and the property appeared neglected. The room had a strong mold odor that was immediately noticeable upon entering. The smell was persistent and made the room unpleasant to stay in, raising concerns about cleanliness, moisture issues, and overall maintenance.
