The breakfast had a nice spread. The staff at the restaurant were very cordial and helpful. The location is excellent. The Mahatma Gandhi Beach is at a walking distance. There is also a FabIndia Store closby The property needs to be maintained well for the premium price being charged. Fixing commodes and broken tiles in washrooms and dust on the external walls would have certainly enhanced our experience. Also, keeping the exterior walls of rooms free of dust will be very nice. Provision of power sockets near the table would have been nice for people who would want to use laptops. Also, the vehicles have to be parked outdoor by the side of the road.

Location is excellent. close to so many great cafes and restaurants and all the sight seeing places in fort Kochi. We took 2 rooms. Size of one of the rooms was quite small. Not in line with the pricing which was almost the same for both rooms.

Good location and easy walk to fort Kochi sights. Quieter part of town compared to the center. Eager staff ready to help. Bathroom was tired and a little smelly. Could easily add a table or place to lay out toiletries (it’s quite spacious) but instead there is just a ledge in the shower which is not ideal. Pool could be warmer to be more refreshing.

The hotel staff were truly wonderful—warm, attentive, and consistently providing excellent service. The food was outstanding, and the location couldn’t be better. Most of the rooms are spacious and very comfortable. I highly recommend this place.

This was my favorite hotel of the 8 hotels I stayed in on my 3 week India trip. The care from the staff was superlative: they helped me plan everything. The manager even walked me to the theater so that I could find it for the traditional dance show. When I didn’t have an umbrella, they produced one. Breakfast was wonderful: prepared midweek and buffet on the weekend, with the option to make egg items such as omelette. They made a great mushroom and green onion omelette. I loved my room, which was historical with high ceilings, a sitting room, a balcony, and a huge bathroom. There is a large hall with an antique swing that was used. The building is very atmospheric. The staff washes down the stone floors, keeping it scrupulously clean. I took a cooking class and the chef prepared the meal that I selected. This was a real treat. The location is convenient, walking distance from many of the historical sights and the beach. The garden is very pretty with lovely tropical plants growing. The restaurant is extremely good and convenient after a day of sight seeing. You sit outside, facing the pool. Finally, the manager phoned me as I was leaving at 3am for an early flight to Cochin to thank me for staying with them. This was above and beyond. I would love to return to Dutch Bungalow. It is a bit dark on the streets at night. But that’s not a fault of the hotel. I never felt unsafe. That is another reason that their excellent restaurant works well. The first night I ate elsewhere and I preferred the hotel restaurant.

Quaint, old building with antique furniture. Charming. Updated and clean bathrooms. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was decent. Some rooms are smaller, some are nicer. Restaurant was OK. Being an older building expect a different experience from a modern hotel.

The kids of course loved the pool the best! The location was perfect and walkable to anywhere in Fort Kochi. Rooms were beautifully spacious and the fans and air conditioning kept the rooms nice and cool. Minor issues only: Be aware the hotel is located in a very old building so there is a bit of musty smell and some cracking walls. The beds are not particularly comfortable. Breakfast starts at 7:30 which for us was quite late.

Charming and beautiful old building in the heart of the fort, was very clean and the staff were super friendly and kind ! A really great option in the fort for sure ! The pool is beautiful as well and great in the heat ! Room was a little dark but lots of common space so was ok !

After we checked out, we asked if we could leave our luggage while we explored the area one last time, and not only did they gladly accommodate us, but they also offered a changing room to freshen up when we returned. Their kindness and thoughtfulness truly made this trip even better. Thank you for the amazing hospitality!
