Treebo Backpackers Inn

Location was good, easy approach to all key locations. Breakfast was tasty. Linens needs to be washed and cleaned. Wifi has poor or no range indide rooms.

Great location, friendly staff. good value for money. The bed was very comfy. Ac and fan were very good too. The shower was either too hot to use or very cold, no inbetween. The room smells were strange, heavy sewage one time, and also cigarette smell another time. Could of done with more of a common room area.

Such a nice little home stay in a quieter part of Fort Kochi still very centrally located. The nearby hookah lounge open until 3 AM was great. The staff were very accommodating and made sure I had everything I needed. The value of the hotel, being so centrally located, is really hard to beat! The lights were super bright, not good for after a long day. If they added a small bedside lamp the room would have made the room perfect and better for relaxing. I had to use the bathroom light to have a more relaxing light level.

Location & staff Air conditioning was not working

Nearest to main tourist spots, restaurants and facilities in Fort Kochi. Checkout time was extended by 2 hours on request Room and bed was not properly cleaned well by house keeping staff. Breakfast served was cold and tasted ok ok. Not upto the mark of Treebo standards compared to other Treebo Hotels.

Very clean and Fresh, a/c included, satellite TV. Everything in the room was working great. For a very good price Breakfast as ordered, omelett, toast and coffe perfekt for us, other options available. Very attentative Staff including helped us with laundry, taxi even was there to make sure our 4am taxi arrived. Highly recommrnded, the perfekt stay in Fort Kochi. Like everything

Room 102 on the ground floor. Location of the hotel is excellent, very close to the bus stand, the water metro station, and to the prime touristy areas near the Chinese fishing nets. Breakfast on day 2 was idli sambar, omelette, bread butter. Quantities were a lot and taste was quite decent but all of it is served cold. Day 1 breakfast too was tasty, but served cold The raw guy in charge (caretaker manager) tries his best, is helpful but obviously he is the best that Treebo can get at the salary they offer. At check-in I entered all my details including the address; even though this had been provided at the time of booking. Why not save our time? The caretaker / manager led me to the room and forgot the key in the door, I retrieved it later. The good knight mosquito repellant in the room was over, I had to remind and get a new one. He forgot to give me a wifi password too, I had to remind. The toilet had a very small toilet roll; I had to ask him to get me a fresh one. There was 1 measly clothes hanger in the room, I asked for 3-4 more. Why are Indian hotels stingy about cheap clothes hangers and toilet rolls, I will never understand. The shower is not well positioned. Its too high up, you cant adjust its direction, the pressure is low and the water falls too close to the wall and the tap. Its awkward. There was no dustbin in the room. The view outside the room is, well, a wall basically a foot away. The signs inside the room indicating breakfast and timings were contradictory, confusing and unclear. The bed mattress is not firm and bad for the back. There are going to be mosquitoes inside the room and premises, so pls take precautions. The AC blew air directly in my face when sleeping, the remote controls were faulty and one could operate it only from about 1 foot away. There is less natural light in the room so you have to switch the tube most of the time. The room lock is tricky to operate since the keyhole is too big and the key is small. The latch on the room door is too tight and one has to apply strength to get it open. Many of the fixtures are partly broken and nobody seems to have repaired them – sharp and broken drawer knobs etc. have the potential to hurt badly. The caretaker manager has a habit of spitting, he did it on the road, and on the terrace. This just cannot be forgiven. Inexperience, rawness can be overlooked but not bad hygiene. This place does not have a washing machine or a fridge. To be truly a backpackers hostel, you need both of these.

This is a chain company, so these issues lay with the overlords, not this great little hotel... They continuously emailed automated messages about paying in advance using an external link or getting cancelled. Noooooooooo! Only ever accept payment through cash, an EFTPOS machine or via booking.com. The staff were also sometimes hard to contact as the WA number and booking.com led to a loop of endless Treebo automated messages that don't ever get received by a human.
