Location, breakfast Small room

The room was very clean. Close to the cathedral. Close to the train station as well. I had no issues finding it. I was greeted by a very friendly gentleman. Toilets, and shower were very clean. I had an amazing view of the courtyard. I highly recommend this hotel. Quick and efficient. Only stayed 1 night so I cant say.... I liked my stay.

Great location, lovely place! We were helped immensely by the Manger David(blond hair). This guy is a legend. We turned up at the wrong hotel, he took us through the service corridor as I’m disabled and it’s quicker; out onto a cobblestone courtyard and carried our very heavy cases so as not to make noise for guests. He just swooped them up! He then proceeded to book us into the correct hotel and made a special exception for me and gave me an upgraded room. I was absolutely thrilled that someone can be so caring, thoughtful and kind and is fantastic at their job. Anyone who works for this guy must love their job and want to do their best. Because it shows! The hotel is spotless, the staff happy and in turn, happy customers. Thank you x Nothing!

Great views, awesome location for exploring Cologne and the fantastic staff are incredible and went above and beyond for mine and my husbands 20th wedding anniversary including rose petals in the room, on the bed and in the shower. Nothing was too much trouble, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. I have never stayed in a CityClass Hotel before but will actively seek them out in the future. 200% recommend this hotel! Everything was nearly perfect, my only small critique is the bed was a little firm for my liking but that’s a personal choice.

Where to begin. I booked this hotel hoping it will be as beautiful as it was in the pictures on booking.com. The room carpet smelled dirty and the AC was inefficient. There were flying ants in the room and when I contacted the hotel staff they told me it's a city wide issue. The second day when we returned to the room, the carpet did not smell that bad, a sign that they cleaned it. I found a piece of paper on the desk saying this appears to be a city wide issue and not an issue with the hotel and they cannot refund anything. That was not true. We opened the window day after day to get rid of the stench in the room.due to the dirty carpet and we never had an issue again with the flying ants again...this indicates that the problem was with the carpet or general cleanliness of the room The rooms have below basic facilities, not even a place for people to put their toiletries in the shower. The shower gel was almost finished when we came and I had to talk to the staff to get more. I heard another couple complaining that there was no toilet paper in the room and they had to ask for more. 25 euro breakfast per person per day (!!) is another unbelievable expense they asked for. This is not a 4 star hotel. It was disgusting and I could not wait to leave. Oh The beds mattresses were also covered with some bizarre plastic sheet to protect the mattress, which made the sleeping hot and uncomfortable. Just a mess.

Clean, comfortable room. Friendly staff and good location to central station and restaurants. Air con in the room wasn’t great, but it was unseasonably hot!

Location was perfect, a top floor view of the cathedral. Room was comfortable with bath and separate shower. Breakfast was excellent Staff were friendly and helpful Coffee, tea and water facilties in room. Fridge in room. Car parking was not with the hotel, it was a public multi story car park. It was a 10 minute walk away. Thus was misleading by booking.com.

Hotel room had great view of the cathedral from our room. We arrived during a heatwave and the air conditioning in the room was very much appreciated, as well as the roller shutters to block out all the light when we wanted to sleep in after long days of travelling. The room was always cleaned and turned over, despite our late sleeping. The area was had plenty of bars and restaurants within a short walk, as well as most major attractions within the city.

The staff were very welcoming, and we were offered a complimentary drink on arrival. Our bedroom had been decorated with red petals to help us celebrate our honeymoon, which was a lovely touch and proved that my messages sent earlier in the year, had indeed been read. The parking was nearby and very safe and secure. The large bath was superb and overall the room was lovely. I didn't realise that there were 3 hotels called CityClass in the town, and did at one point try to access a room in the wrong hotel! Perhaps this should be explained in the joining messages?
