Not much., The bar was shut during my stay. The Frau charged me an extra 50 euros for keeping my luggage in the hotel for 3 hours. Daylight robbery and she was very rude. Shouting at me like a fish wife and totally out of order. I travel for business a lot and like to stay in traditional hotels not the corporates. This taught me a lesson and I hope never to experience this again.

Location, Location, Location! Right in the thick of things. So easy to the cathedral, the river, the bridge, museums restaurants & bars & the train station. Lovely room & comfortable bed. Has an elevator!! It was really hot so we had the windows open & the restaurant noise came up but completely gone with the windows closed. Not the hotels fault it was hot!!! A fan might have been a fabulous addition though.

This hotel is so unique! We really loved the convenient self check-in process. The location is absolutely incredible—only 50 meters from the Kölner Dom (Cologne Cathedral) and just 150 meters from the beautiful riverbank. It is right in the heart of the tourist area, with so many fantastic restaurant choices just steps away. We booked the Junior Suite, and the balcony was absolutely wonderful—we had a direct view of the Kölner Dom! The room itself was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with good amenities, including air conditioning. The AC during hot weather: We stayed during the summer when the weather in Cologne was extremely hot, and unfortunately, the AC struggled to keep the room cool. Stairs and Luggage: The hotel has a small elevator, only reach 4 fl. Need stair to reach our room

The location was great. The facilities were extremely modest, and that’s being generous. The man who checked us in was pleasant, but his partner was beyond rude and inhospitable. She was pounding on our door at 10:45am, telling us that we had “better be ready for checkout” (at 11:00am). I also heard her speaking disparagingly about me on the phone when I committed the grave error of asking her to remind me which way the elevator was. There did not appear to be anyone else staying in the hotel, so I’m not sure what the issue was. There was also what appeared to be mouse feces behind the curtains (but I could be wrong). The door to our room did not lock, but the main entrance to the hotel sure did. We were provided one key for two people, which was very inconvenient when my father/travelling partner and I decided to split up for a bit (as we were only in Cologne for 20 hours or so). Frankly, the place was a dump, which I could have easily overlooked if the staff were even remotely pleasant. Neutral, even. But I would have rather taken the 155 euros I spent on the stay and lit it on fire to keep my hands warm whilst sleeping in the street. Below is a picture of me waiting for my 74 year old dad to come down to let me into the main entrance, while the owner’s partner glared at me through the window and refusing to unlock the door for me.

The location was perfect for exploring the old town, the cathedral and the riverside. It was close to the station. People should be made aware that there are stairs which could be difficult for some people.

The location of the property was great, not far from the train station, right by the cathedral and very central close to shops, restaurants and bars. Beds were comfortable. When we mistakenly thought check out was 12 instead of 11 staff were very understanding - thank you! We would’ve preferred a double bed instead of 2 separate ones
