Dorint Hotel am Heumarkt Köln

? Unfortunately, the air conditioning in the room was not working, and the hotel did not respond to my request to cancel the reservation. As a result, I had to book another hotel at my own expense because staying in those conditions was not possible, especially due to my health circumstances. This was a very disappointing experience, and I hope the hotel improves its maintenance and customer service.

Convenient location Poor facilities. Absolutely not the place to stay during summer. The air conditioning system is faulty, doesn’t work across all the rooms, and the hotel authorities doesn’t make any effort to make the stay comfortable

Very pleasant stay. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the facilities were clean and well maintained. The location is excellent, with easy access to both the city centre and the train station. There is also access to a great gym, which was a nice bonus, although it requires an additional fee. Unfortunately, the air conditioning in my room was not working, and there was no option to open a window for ventilation. As a result, the room became uncomfortably warm, which significantly affected my stay. For this reason, I decided to shorten my stay. That said, the staff were very accommodating and understanding when I raised the issue, and they handled the situation professionally.

The room was comfortable; however, the air conditioning was not functioning properly, making it quite hot. The breakfast was excellent. The location is perfectly fine. The parking was very expensive at €36.00 for the period from 5:00 PM at check-in until 12:00 PM the following day.

Parking cost for 30hrs was 54 euros

The hotel did not have our room ready until 1 o’clock at night. We had to take a room at another hotel instead. Unfortunately, we received no compensation or refund.

gracious staff, ten minute walk to the Dom and the museums, close to the market where everyone eats outside in good weather. The lighting system in the room was a little confusing, although there was plenty of light for everything I needed.

Loved they had a bat and restaurant. They were clean. Safer and quiet location. I booked the property specifically for the pool and they closed the pool.

The pillows are terrible, the only complaint we have. Even stacking 2 floppy pillows didn’t do anything.

Very comfortable large room and bathroom. This hotel was in walking distance to all the Christmas markets and central Cologne. A very good breakfast was included.

Hotel is good and location Marketing

Hotel is easy to get to and in a great location right around the corner from the main shopping street. Hotel is big and spacious. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are ample in size and well laid out. The bad up front: In the 5 nights I stayed at this hotel I never once slept in the room I had booked, committed payment to and received confirmation of that room through Booking.com. I arrived at 2300 and was given keys to my room expecting to enter the room I booked: a standard king room with a queen bed. I was given a large room with two separate, smaller beds. I immediately went to the front desk and told them I wasn't happy with the bed situation and requested the room I had booked. I was told there were no more rooms available and would have to wait until the next day to be given a room with a larger bed. I had a terrible night as I tend to roll off small beds and wasn't able to sleep much. I went to the front desk in the morning and was told they had another room for me with a king size bed but it wouldn't be available until 1200 and to come back at that time. At 1200 I was given the keys to another room and this time indeed I did have a room with a king size bed but it was a smaller room than the first and smaller than the room I had booked. There was no explanation as to why I wasn't given the room I had actually booked. To note: if I had been given the room I had booked my rating of this hotel would be significantly different.

The location The breakfast deteriorated by the day. Food ran out. Cutlery and plates ran out. The bar didn’t open until 5:30???? To try and make you go to the bistro. The bar is the draw card. Open it early every day. Female reception staff excellent. Male staff it all seemed too much trouble to assist with simple requests
