Noisy place. Not very comfortable beds and pillows.

The noise, i also feel that the price was too much for the room i got.

Location was fabulous..1 block from the cathedral and close to many restaurants and the river front. Proprietor was very friendly and allowed us to bring our bags early and store them late..thanks so much! Room was very comfortable with nice linens and pillows, good shower, quiet surroundings with church bells,. Building was very secure and we felt very safe. Plenty of outlets in the room. Wifi good. All good

Location Curtains too thin (light = lack of sleep), it was a little noisy at times but they kindly provided earplugs.

The location is really good, close to train station and attractions.

Lovely hotel at a truly excellent location, right in the center of Cologne with a funny subtle sand/desert theme. The rooms were nice, clean, and well kept and the staff was very friendly. The pillows were a bit too thin and soft in my opinion, although folding them made them a bit more comfortable.

Staff was so helpful and friendly! Only thing … pillows and duvets smelled like they were not clean. Everything else was very clean and the room was lovely other than the pillows and duvets. Water pressure in the shower was GREAT!!! Like a spa! There is no lift … so do not bring a lot of luggage like we did. (We are on tour for 6 months and should have left everything in the car except what we needed for that night only.)

Very centrally located to main train station and cathedral. Extremely friendly staff, allowed us early check-in with coordination ahead of time. No lift, will need to climb stairs (which we didn’t mind) but may not be for everyone!

Bathroom was good and room was comfortable

Breakfast was great. The hotel manager/owner was very helpful. He served coffee and made sure we got everything we needed. The lack of an elevator. Although, the manager did carry our bags up. .And yes, I understand that this is an older building in a historic part of town and stairs are typical.

Check in and check out were quick and efficient. Location was wonderful, quick access to the train station and close to the Cathedral and Christmas Markets. Room was suitable to our needs, nothing fancy, comfortable bed, good water pressure in shower, clean facility.

Very close to everything

My husband and I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. We came in town for the Christmas markets and this one is located right by the market at the cathedral. Its on a side street so its very quiet even with the markets going on. It an easy walk from the train station. The staff was FANTASTIC! The room was much bigger than I expected. The only thing we didn't like was the wifi. You receive a username and password, but you have to constantly keep logging in. Even with that we would stay at this hotel again

The beds are nice and soft, the room is well insulated so you barely hear other guests and the street noise is reduced significantly. Our room was dessert themed, which didn't fit the Christmas spirit but it was something nice that sets appart this hotel from many others. The hotel also has an awesome location near the Cathedral, meaning you are close to most of the Christmas markets and also very near to the train station. You can hear a bit of street noise, though it is pretty soft. Upon check-in you also get 3 keys, to enter the building, corridor and room, which seems a bit outdated.

The bedrooms were big and comfortable. Location is very close to the train station and the Cologne Cathedral. The staff were very friendly and helpful and accommodated our request for early check-in.

Location Room is small. Not sound proof. I could hear next room.

I reserved a room with a queen bed but really it was two singles pushed together, with a large gap between them. Not the same thing. :o/ There was a lot of someone’s hair on the mattresses. :0 Not really what we want to see.

Great location Sounds from neighbouring room

We stayed in the group of rooms in the building just east of the reception area (next door). The room was incredibly small. That was tolerable, but the WiFi was extremely weak and kept cutting out.
