Guest House Moshiripa

The property offers a great location and excellent value for money. The owner is exceptionally friendly and welcoming, which makes the hostel feel cozy and just like home. Additionally, I highly appreciated that they provide a variety of pillows and blankets for guests to choose from. The walls are quite thin, so the sound insulation is poor; I could clearly hear footsteps and luggage being dragged during the night and early morning. It felt a bit too warm inside during the summer. While a ceiling fan and a small fan were provided, replacing them with a larger desk fan or a more powerful unit would be a great improvement. Lastly, there are limited toilets and showers on each floor, which did not seem quite enough for the number of guests.

The overall facility was amazing and extremely welcoming and warm. I loved the honesty system for drinks and other items at the door. The only reason im giving a 9 and not a 10 is the pet policy.

The location is perfect being that it is right by the ferry and train stop. I think the community area was nice as well. The overall place was very clean. I slept on a top bunk bed and there was no blackout curtains on the upper bunk, but all the lower bunks had blackout curtains. I feel like I slept awfully because the lights were still turned on when I needed to sleep. It was also a bit noisy and crowded which didn't help either. There was no staff after 8:00pm so I think that could've been an issue if I needed something after that time.

The common area/lounge was spacious, and it had complimentary coffee, tea, and a water dispenser. It also had a 2 burner stove, a toaster oven, microwave, and a full size refrigerator/freezer, and all the pots, pans, utensils, plates, bowls, cups, and glasses so that you could cook if you wished to. There is also coin operated laundry washers and dryers. The location was great, and all of the staff were very friendly and helpful. I will be very happy to stay again!

The staff was Great. Friendly English speaking Japanese girl. The cook in the morning was very nice and cooked great venison curry. Everybody was nice and respectful. The location was a little tricky to get to and the porch was not big enough for all the motorcycles staying there. But that’s just nitpicking.

It was so grate stay! Relaxing atmosphere, staff is nice, breakfast was delicious. Definitely I will be coming back again !

The property is very clean, quite near with the station. Very recomended for you that want to visit Wakanai

The shared bedrooms and bathrooms were a bit worse as they weren't as clean (f.e. a lot of hair in the showers). It was also quite hot during the night as there wasn't a good ventilation system, only fans.

The beds are really hard

Walking distance from the train and port. Comfortable rooms, good setup. No AC in rooms. It was warm when trying to sleep.

A really nice hostel in Wakkanai - it's near the station and the ferry terminal. Everything as described in the offer - I really enjoyed my stay. It doesn't have AC but the temperature was OK - I also had no problem using the shower - it's sometimes busier and sometimes it's vacant. I also ordered dinner and breakfast - it's extra cost but they were worth it. I definitely recommend this place.
