We absolutely LOVED: - The location: Easy walk across the bridge to downtown museums, etc. Beautiful quiet neighborhood. Easy walk to waterfront, and a very nice nature park at the base of the main bridge. Close to restaurants as well. - The room: So beautifully furnished, super-clean, comfortable and thoughtful in the way it was set up. Loved all the attention to sustainability in the in- demand recycled water shower, great toiletry products m etc! - The property: Beautiful view of the courtyard from our balcony, great spa and heated pool, lovely plantings and seating areas outdoors, lovely lobby seating spaces inside around the lobby, nice open space at the head of each floor for snacks, lounging and honor bar. Even the stairwells were beautiful! - The restaurant for dinner and breakfast buffet. Delicious offerings with local and homemade ingredients! I can’t think of anything.

Tasteful and unique Southeast Asian décor. High-quality furniture, fixtures, and amenities in the room. Just overall aesthetically pleasing. Great location and value. Nice staff. It would be nice to have some form of shade over the bathroom so that when one turns on the bathroom light, the room stays dark, in case it’s nighttime and one’s partner is sleeping.

Amazing, relaxing atmosphere,. Extremely cozy decor feels like a fusion of modern comfort and eastern spice. Being concerned about environment, Guldsmeden takes a gentle care of you, from the moment you step in. Morden equipment in the rooms with elements of Zen, like wooden furniture and sink in the bathroom carved out from the real stone make certainly a good impression. But combined with hightech shower and perfect temperature in the room is a real Zen indeed. Coffee kitchen on every floor and delicious various breakfast are totally enjoyable. And again, decor in the breakfast area is breathtaking. So, take a deep breath before you go there? And finally, the diamond in the crown, is the Spa in the inner yard outside. Warm pool, classic sauna and steam sauna are the boost of energy before I go out running my arrows in the city and best relaxation when I come back. Skincare and hair products here are so good that I can forget about my own. More place in the suitcase when I travel and stay here again ? And I would absolutely love that. My best wishes and kind regards to the nicest and sweetest stuff who is running this hotel and working here?? If I have to be totally honest and absolutely find something to complain, I must admit that some wooden draws in my room were difficult to open and got stuck sometimes. Imagine if you hurry to check out and can't open that Drow where you put your pas or jewelry... So, do your check out in good time ? Or, call a furniture carpenter ?

The breakfast is outstanding and gave us the strength and variety to sustain us on our flight back to the States. Everything is very high. I could only see my forehead in the bathroom mirror, for example, and I was likewise too short to read the instructions for the coffee maker in our floor lounge. It would be good to have some step stools around.
-
Glad doors on shower ( not good for sharing 2 room suite with friends), no place to hang a hand towel, no room around sink for toiletries, not enough lights
-
The kids by the pool were loud and after 2 children started throwing up at the pool and on us, I would prefer the spa area was just for adults.
-
Friendly staff. Paul and amenities were fantastic on a hot streak in June. My only complaint that has nothing to do with the hotel was Denmark graduation season where kids and vehicles blowing horn and blowing whistles until 1AM!

Cute and hippie style Not too clean. Needed a good paint job and deep cleaning everywhere.

Fantastic vibe in this hotel

Excellent sauna and pool area. Welcoming lobby has friendly bar with daily happy hour specials. Unique robe and spa shoes in room are a nice touch. Enjoyed the unlimited 24/7 coffee and tea on our floor. Our room was lovely, but small—especially the cramped vanity/bathroom area. Location is a little far from the historic city center, adding additional walking and ride share/taxi fees to our stay.

The room is beautifly done, totally clean with thoughtful design items and eco gadgets, it was furbished with thought and care and good durable materials. The yard and spa area are also great quality, super clean and pretty

N/A beds not comfortable, dark hotel, wine super expensive, waiter by the pool not very attentive, hot so had to open windows and street noise was very loud. Location not great either, too far from things.

I booked a loft, but I was actually assigned the worst room at the very end of the first-floor hallway. They claimed it was the only one available. The facilities were quite old, the window frames were peeling, and there was a very unpleasant scent from the air freshener. A major issue was the lack of lighting; I was here for a conference but the room is so dim that it was almost impossible to sit at the desk and read anything or use my laptop. I borrowed a lamp but it’s still not bright enough. I stayed here for a week and felt miserable. I do not recommend this place.

This hotel is incredible. Super comfortable, tons of amenities, and the pool and spa was one of the best I've ever used.

First of all, I would like to say that this hotel feels like an authentic work of art. I stayed in the most eccentric room I have ever seen in my life. It was a very unique and enjoyable experience. The location is about 2 km from the city center, in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. Considering how crowded the center usually is, we actually preferred staying in such a calm area. We had not originally included breakfast, but we decided to try it one day at the hotel. The breakfast was quite delicious and of high quality. Our rooms were cleaned regularly every day. Also, everyone from the reception staff to the housekeeping team was very kind and welcoming. People were always smiling, which made us very happy. The hot water pool, which was open until late hours, was very relaxing. We honestly did not experience any major bad issues. The only thing I could mention is that the steam room and sauna in the spa area felt a bit small and crowded, possibly because we went during a busy time.

Love this place! Will be staying in all Guldsmeden properties in the future.
-
Eclectic decor, enjoyed a 2 bedroom unit and the coffee/tea amenities offered outside our room door. The heated pool and spa were delightful and we enjoyed one breakfast poolside. The breakfast offerings were amazing. On our last morning we wanted to use the sauna and steam room before checking out but they were closed for cleaning. You’d think that the hotel would clean these overnight once the facilities closed, not during the morning when many people want to use it.

Such a nice hotel. Great amenities, everything felt elevated and they pay attention to the details.

The location was convenient and fun. Nearby nature park, and walkable to downtown. Great food onsite. Pricey, but delicious. The staff was uniformly professional and friendly. Room service could have been more predictable...
