Hotel is in serious need of an upgrade. The rooms are very dated. I was charged an additional $20 for early check in, which was 2 hours. This is crazy! Most hotels let you go ahead and check in, if they have a room available. I won't be staying here again.

Um no, I’m not dressed and there’s a coffee maker in my room.

The hotel was extremely difficult to deal with. I will not ever stay there again.

Check-in was supposed to be at 4:00 PM, but our room wasn’t ready and we weren’t able to check in until almost 6:00 PM. We had plans at 5:30 that evening and had specifically arrived in time to check in, get ready, and leave. Instead, we didn’t make it to our plans until almost 7:00 PM. When we asked about the delay, we were told we could check in as late as 3:00 AM if we wanted to wait. That really misses the point—we paid for a hotel room with a 4:00 PM check-in because we needed the room at that time, not sometime later that night. For what the room cost, a nearly two-hour delay was unacceptable. We were also disappointed to find that several of the amenities shown on the website had very limited hours. Some of the restaurant and bar options were only available on weekends. There was one restaurant open until 10:00 PM, but after that, the only food/drink options available were inside the casino itself. The separate bar area was also only open on weekends. For a hotel and casino of this size and price, we expected more options for guests staying during the week, especially later in the evening. I wish the limited weekday availability of these amenities had been much clearer before booking. After returning that evening, we planned to spend some time in the casino. Then the power went out throughout the property, bringing everythi

All food was closed at 10. No continental breakfast only a restaurant, sports bar closed at 11. No room service. For 250 freaking ridiculous. Got told to go to the hot dog cart

The day I got into my hotel room I thought it was cool until the next day I noticed blood on the walls and curtains. The front desk attendant said only thing that she could do at the time was switch rooms and give me a 25$ meal ticket. mine to say I was there for 3 days and not 1 day did house keeping knocked on my room and offer to clean my room or offer clean towels. instead I had to go in the hallway and ask for what I needed terrible

Anterior was very friendly from the lady checking me in which was late to the dealers at the tables. The first dealer was super nice she even dealt me a straight flush on my very first hand. I would recommend the AmeristR I Council Bluffs to anyone passing through very Clean very friendly !!!

This is an older hotel that has been well maintained. The pool was dirty & ended up closed the last day of our stay. The staff were kind & helpful but should alert guests staying longer than 1 night that you must request your room be cleaned/ trash taken out/ beds changed/ towels exchanged, etc. The hotel itself was clean & very convenient for local attractions. Comfortable beds, fun slots in the casino, pretty quiet rooms. Definitely would stay again.

So much smoke! We were in town for a basketball tournament and lucky for us it was during college World Series. So our 2 queen room was $368. The front desk was nice but didn’t tell us how to get to our room. The parking garage was free which was nice. Had no idea how to find our room let alone where the hotel began. Room was clean for the age of the hotel. The hotel halls were not as Smokey but very stuffy it needs better ventilation/air movement. Kids liked the pool. It was busy especially since it shares the pool with holiday inn. Husband and I went to the casino for 30min (that’s all we could stand due to the smoke) we went down stairs to the “non smoking area” but was still met with a cloud of smoke. There is no breakfast unless you pay, not even free coffee. Probably won’t ever go back. Unless they do a little updating and a lot of air ventilation.
