Days Inn by Wyndham Custer

Customer service lacking slightly. Manager is only one who could deal with room keys. Slow to restock breakfast foods but was better on the second day after if was brought to attention when other guests had arrived to most of the food to be out. Other guests said they had to wait over a half hour to check in since they staff was upstairs cleaning rooms.

The staff was great! They always greeted us with a smile and was very welcoming.

Air conditioning didn't work like it should. Manager knew about it and did nothing. Got to the room and didn't have any towels or wash cloths.

Maybe some food for your continental breakfast maybe a real entrance maybe enough parking really didn't like parking on road

The hotel room was pretty good, AC unit worked. OK, I guess. Had to figure out how to use it as the buttons were broken. The beds were comfortable. The rooms are not fitted with a microwave, and you share a microwave in the hallway just a heads up on that. Breakfast was definitely on the lower end of places I’ve stayed. But they did have cereal, coffee, some really not so good pastries, and the waffle machine sorta worked. The really good thing about this property is it is right in downtown, one block off of the main strip. And on your way to Mount Rushmore. Other than that, it was OK. I will have to say that the older gentleman on the staff is very nice and very helpful. Other than that, there’s one guy that will sit on the couch all day long and will not talk to you at all and just point to tell you things.

Room was clean and tidy, staff was helpful. Very close to downtown Custer for easy parking and walking on Main Street. Breakfast was quick and easy.

The manager was clearly a very hard worker. The man is a true American Success story.

Need more parking. Room was clean. Good air conditioning. The breakfast needs to be more variety, set up to be more appealing. Front desk gentleman nice and helpful. One of the staff was sitting on the couch with dirty feet. Not appealing at all.

The good includes the owner who was very congenial and helpful. The good includes a reasonable price when other hotels are sky high. The good is its location so close to many national parks. The not so good is a WiFi that moves glacially and kicks you off every two minutes. There is no microwave which means you have to walk back and forth to the lobby when you want to heat something up. The refrigerator doesn’t have a freezer and ours did not work properly when we first entered the room. Overall this hotel earns a three star which would be much higher if the property owner makes some changes.

Great location to visit Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer State Park and Wind Caves. Walkable to many restaurants and stores. They will clean the room and provide fresh towels, etc but you have to ask.

It was ok The owners saw me come in with a dog and cat, the review said “pet friendly” then after having to stay there for more days because I was waiting on my car to be repaired, the owner tells me the are “not pet friendly “. And didn’t want us to stay again. I would not recommend.. there was no elevator so we had to carry all our bags up 3 flights of stairs. There was no juice in the morning breakfast while we were there.

The Room was Clean, Bed was Very Comfortable, AC worked Good, Parking was Great, Had a Good Breakfeast, and the Staff was Very Accommodating!!

Had a free breakfast, but was limited.
