Hotel San Francisco Pardo Cusco

It was nice to have a breakfast included in the cost, though the breakfast was subpar and I probably would’ve preferred to have paid for something better. Really the only thing I liked was the amazing doorman named Stephen. He was fantastic. Where do I start? Our room had no ventilation, no fans, and was hot. My biggest scrape was the noise. Even though we were on the third floor we could hear everything downstairs. Staff members came in at four or 5 o’clock in the morning and even speaking in normal voices, they would wake me up. They played music in the hallways until 10 o’clock at night and left hallway lights on with no way to completely block the light from coming into our room. On top of that, on our first day the hot water had broken and though we were trying to get some sleep from our jet lag, there was lots of loud banging trying to fix the hot water issue. And finally, the towel supply was subpar, we had no shower mat, no washcloths, and we were instructed not to use the towels provided to wipe off our makeup or we would be charged extra for those towels if they were stained.

The doorman Steven was one of the only rewarding things about this hotel…also it was within walking distance of everything we needed. Where should I start? First of all, we arrived too early at 9 AM, and unfortunately our room wasn’t ready so we could not check in until noon. We were exhausted from travel and tried to go to sleep but then realized that there was no hot water and they were banging and hammering all afternoon as they were trying to fix the water situation. That night it was very noisy with music playing until at least 10 PM and lights in the hallways on until 10 PM as well. Our curtains did not close all the way to block the light. By 4 o’clock in the morning I was awoken by the voices of staff members on the first floor even though I was on the third floor. There is no insulation in the walls. Also, we did not have any windows to the exterior and no ventilation. The room was extremely hot. Every single morning was like a repeat of the day before. I was awoken to voices in the lobby by 5 AM. We only had two towels, a small hand towel, and no floor mat. We had a different room on our subsequent stay and it was a giant hole in the floor with exposed concrete. Though it was nice to have breakfast included, the pickings were slim and overall I would’ve rather spent money on a more fulfilling breakfast. I will not be staying here again.

The staff, the location, they provided a take-away breafast on the tour days before the official breakfast time. My room was facing the central atrium and the windows were not sound proof. Every sound could be heard coming from the lobby. The TV rack was sitting right as you enter the room. I hit my head twice on it walking in. The bathroom needed a TLC

About 20 people arrived at 2:30am and were noisy, yelling. Continued for more than an hour. The staff didn’t say one word to them. Paper thin walls and our room was in the lobby, a few feet away from the noise. Had to leave a night early.

They let me check in early for free which was kind of them There was a distinct lack of facilities in the room. There was only 1 plug socket for the whole room, beside the bed. There were no mirrors in the bedroom. One night I ordered a glass of white wine to the room, 30 minutes later they came to tell me that they don’t have any white wine (despite it being on the menu) and that I could only order a full bottle of red wine. There was noisy construction works going on the whole time and staff spoke loudly on my floor each night. I didn’t sleep well here. One day I went horse riding and I had an accident, I got kicked off the horse and was covered head to toe in mud and horse faeces. My back and neck were also very sore. All I wanted was a hot shower to feel clean and better, but they refused to turn the hot water on. Most staff seemed disinterested and unhelpful. Apart from the man who served the breakfast, he was attentive.

On side street, but close to center. Nice place. Excellent breakfast on top floor (with view). Comfortable bed. Friendly staff. They are shown on google maps under another name. All good except not shown on google maps.
