Rodeway Inn Cypress - Buena Park

We pre-paid for a room for 3 nights and called the hotel the day before arrival to confirm reservation and check-in. When we arrived the next night, there was no one at the hotel to check us in. The entrance to the front desk was locked, we rang the doorbell located outside the locked door, and even tried calling to no avail. We ended up having to find another hotel after a long flight causing tremendous physical, emotional, and financial distress before having to compete in an early morning sporting event. We would DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND THE ROADWAY INN CYPRESS - BUENA PARK to anyone due to the poor standard of operations, communication, and lack of overall professionalism of this establishment. I highly recommend having the property closed until further notice to ensure patrons safety and security at all times.

The room wasn’t clean. Many holes in shower curtain. Microwave was filthy. No smoke alarm. A/C was terrible. No towels and the worker was pissed because I asked for some.

Very upset with my stay here.

Immediately, the smell of smoke hit us inside our non-smoking room. The linens had multiple hairs on them. There was a nearly empty roll of toilet paper laid on top of the other rolls. Our biggest concern was that our room appeared to have had a smoke detector that was no longer there. We paid about $50 less for two nights here than its last minute replacement, so if you prioritize safety and cleanliness, it may be worth checking out other spots before settling for this hotel.

Not a thing The air conditioner took a long time to cool the room up

We will definitely stay here again. Breakfast was good. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Had a mini fridge and microwave. Parking is free.

Okay. It served the purpose of my trip.

I was expecting to rooms to look exactly like what I seen on Expedia‘s website. It was the total opposite dated dirty unsanitized rooms with worn out linens curtains with 1 inch of dust and dirt dirty phones, chipped up furniture stains on the couches. This is not acceptable at all. The continental breakfast area was not acceptable.

The bed was comfortable, the room clean, and the continental breakfast had waffles, cereals, milk, juice, coffee, and pastries.

I would most definitely be coming back they were super nice and Rena was the most sweetest person and made my stay so much better ! I had no problems with the room or anything!

Ample parking, clean rooms. Staff very friendly and helpful.. love the breakfast (especially the waffles)

From the initial check in to checking out smooth and very professional, breakfast had very good options and coffee was delicious which is a must . We will return back to this location when needed again.

The Manager, Amit was cordial. The AC barely worked. My husband went to the office and asked for help with a fan because the AC hardley would go on. At that time the same manager said no fans. So none the less the stay was hot and humid; miserable. We originally had thought we were going to stay another night, but, with this fiasco we were absolutely NOT going to stay another. At checkout in the morning we told Amit (Manager) that with the fiasco with the AC not working we were not going to stay another night. Then, he said, "Oh, the AC does work. You have to do "a little trick" with the compressor, come I'll show you." We told him we had already vacated the room and with zero help when my husband had gone to the office we were pretty much over it!! We feel if he knew there was an issue with the AC, we should have been given a room with working AC. Or, if there was a "trick" to getting it to work properly he should have told us that and gone to our room to show us the "trick". We got nothing. So spent the night sweating in a humid hot room. One more thing was the cleanliness of the room was lacking. The floors were filthy. My husband wears socks to bed but the socks were black on the bottom. It should have been cleaned properly. Also the shower/bathtub plug was absolutely disgusting. It had back mildew caked in it. I used to run hospital housekeeping and engineering. So I have seen and know what needs to be done and how to properly finish a room. I can guarantee that floor has not been mopped in at least a month!. I walked from the bathroom to go sit under the fan since the AC was out and I sat and lifted my foot and the bottoms were almost black. It was filthy. I had to go in the bathtub to re-wash my feet. So that, added to everything made it worse. I understand this was not a Hilton but, room cleanliness is something that should be done well without saying. So my husband and I were pretty disappointed.

Love where the prop is located. only complaint this stay was our room 307 had a ton of water running noise behind our bed /wall all night. not sure if all the pipes are there or what was going on...so loud. and the people next door were slamming there door....last time we stayed here no issues, this time way to loud....I would stay again but not near all that water noise...sound like every room that turned on their shower was running thru our walls....
