There was no warm water to shower. Also, the area didn’t seem very safe at night.

As someone working in the hospitality industry as well, I think the breakfast offering should be improved, so it would be worth the price payed. There were no cucumbers or tomatoes served which is surely not a big expense for the hotel. All in all improving a breakfast experience is what I recommend management to consider since it takes great part in a final impression before check out.

Our three-night stay at the Chelsea Hotel in Dar es Salaam was nothing short of exceptional—an experience that blended comfort, warmth, and effortless hospitality into something truly memorable. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the welcoming atmosphere. The staff greeted me with genuine smiles and an efficiency that immediately put me at ease after a long journey. Check-in was smooth, and within minutes I was settling into a room that exceeded expectations. Clean, thoughtfully arranged, and refreshingly शांत (peaceful), it offered the perfect retreat from the city’s lively rhythm. What truly sets this hotel apart is its attention to detail. Housekeeping maintained impeccable standards each day, ensuring the room always felt fresh and inviting. The bed was incredibly comfortable—arguably one of the best I’ve experienced while traveling—and the air conditioning provided a cool sanctuary from Dar es Salaam’s tropical warmth. Breakfast each morning was a highlight, offering a satisfying variety that catered to both local tastes and international preferences. Everything was prepared with care, and the quality was consistently excellent. It was the perfect way to start each day before heading out to explore. Location-wise, the hotel is ideally positioned. It provided convenient access to key parts of the city, making it easy to move around whether for business or leisure. Despite being well-situated, the hotel itself maintained a calm and relaxed ambiance—a rare and valuable balance. What lingered most, however, was the service. Every interaction with the staff reflected professionalism, kindness, and a sincere desire to make guests feel comfortable. It wasn’t just hospitality—it felt personal. By the end of my stay, checking out felt less like leaving a hotel and more like saying goodbye to a place that had quietly become a home away from home. In every sense, my experience at the Chelsea Hotel was superb, seamless, and deeply satisfying. No complaints.

The staff - from the reception team to the managers and restaurant waiters - were all kind, cheerful, and extremely helpful. They also assisted us with booking taxis and gave us great recommendations on where to find various places in the city.

Location is convenient for many things. It is not far from the airport and a walkable distance to the ferry terminal. It is surrounded by the urban Tanzanian experience. Breakfast is exceptional. NA

The central location in Kariakoo made it easy to navigate and explore the city. The facilities were well-kept, the room was sparse but clean; overall was a comfortable place for a quick overnight stay while passing through Dar es Salaam.

We were met at the airport by the hotel staff and the ensured that everything went smooth. We booked 8 rooms and sent them the room allocation before our arrival and the were ready and waiting for us

Closeness to airport and pick-up/drop-off service. Good price/value ratio. Friendly staff. Modern place. Nothing for this price.

The Location, The Stuffs are very friendly. But you can see they have a pressure behind. And they can’t work properly, As someone is there often. This is my View. Thank you The Breakfast For the money peoples pay it not worth it. And most is Indian Food, you need to offer African Food and lots of Fruits to have choice, for the money we pay. thank you.
