Hotel Totara

Well I think it's already the 5th time I stay at Hotel Totara. It might not be the best of the best, but what I like most is the location. Very helpful and friendly staff. There is a big improvement in breakfast compared to last year. Actually there is nothing to dislike. Sometimes you hear noise from other people, but it's still ok. Maybe only warning I can give to the Mgt of the hotel. I hope you won't increase your prices anymore, otherwise value/money might not be correct anymore

We always enjoy our stay here.. The location is convenient to all of the places we need to go to while staying in Dar. The staff is very friendly and always remembers us and welcomes us kindly. We especially enjoy the wonderful breakfast hosted by Sophia and the staff.

The receptionists at the front desk are always very welcoming when we arrive. We stay often enough at your hotel that many of your staff remember us and are so kind and greet us warmly. Sofia and the staff in the breakfast area are so helpful and always want to help us. They are very attentive and kind and are excited to see us when we return.

Something I didn't like is the internet speed wasn't that good.

My drivers had a hard time locating the hotel.

It was a good experience everything was fine

My room was overlooking a peaceful garden, with lots of rabbits wandering freely and a pond full of white and orange big fish. You see the fish at the entrance and all around the hotel. It is so peaceful and calm, I love it. The hotel is also nicely located at walking distance from my favourite restaurants in town. The early morning swim in the pool was great. The breakfast was very nice, with fresh products and lots of choice. I enjoyed using the self-service washing and drying machines. The room is well equiped for a short stay. The first day the shower had no hot water, but upon my request the hotel fixed it the next day.

The staff were very friendly, and helpful. The place seemed secure. The breakfast was marvellous (SUPER). Totara is conveniently located to some really good bars/hotels.

It's near to the clubs No toothpaste, and old furniture

Limited food in breakfast - few options were finished very early and not refilled. Inflexibility with rooms and rates. Swimming pool didnt look very attractive. Noise from the neighbour bar until late hours.

There was a cigarette smoke along the walk way past the reception. I am sure the people in those rooms were smoking but it's a bother to non smoker passing through the walkway to their rooms.

I loved everything about my stay this was my second time, breakfast was especially nice Safiya took real good care of me she should get a raise.... the front desk staff as well are very courteous Happy should get a raise as well ? I couldn't stay longer

The breakfast was amazing, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The environment was always clean and my favourite part was the beautiful fish they had in a pond. They also have friendly rabbits near the pond and as an animal lover, this made me very happy. The pool was always clean as well. It is also very close to supermarkets, restaurants and the beach. Nothing, everything was perfect.

I was obsessed with the rabbits in the garden haha…so cute! The room was clean, well-appointed, and in a safe, vibrant, and convenient location. Everything worked and breakfast options were extensive and delicious. No complaints at all; great value for a short stay
