The Hotel By Gold Dust

TV was not working when we got back to room later in the evening. Parking is a block away from hotel across a busy street. The road to check in was very congested.

We liked that they had a cart of "supplies" for our rooms at the main level by the elevator and we could grab items if we needed them. I think it is also great that they don't automatically clean rooms and linens each day, yet we can call for it as needed. I like a place that does not waste.

Very small room. But right in the middle of Main Street deadwood!

I was thoroughly disappointed. Rooms were not vacuumed, very dirty. And everything was very worn and the rooms were so small they could not even fit a chair in. The only place to sit was on the bed. Absolutely would not recommend this motel to anybody. If you do stay there, avoid room 215. It is definitely not the one in the pictures. The other room I rented, 222 at least had two chairs in it, but it was just as dirty. When I brought this up at the front desk, the only thing they told me is they would let housekeeping know.

Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and we got a great deal for dinner and casino play.

The room was clean and modern.

It was close to main attractions THE PARKING. We were given a code to park. When we got there, there were no spots to park. We had to pay to park in the parking ramp. The T.V. in our room would randomly shut off, not even able to watch a single thing. We will not go back.

Breakfast is weak, but good coffee!!

Stopped on our way to Sturgis and this was a great place to stay. The room was big and for the price it was worth it. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The casino was fun and an added bonus at the end of the night. Thank you for a great time.

The hotel is advertised as renovated and high-end, but the renovation feels cheap and incomplete. The bathroom had no exhaust fan, peeling wallpaper, a broken countertop that had been glued together, a terrible shower, and a very small, unusually low toilet with visible yellow staining. Towels were old, rough, and worn. The TV was outdated, with no smart features, very few channels, and poor picture quality. The advertised restaurant is actually across the street inside a casino, and the food was expensive and mediocre. “Breakfast” consisted mainly of processed sugary items, old bagels, and extremely weak coffee, with no real hot breakfast. The online presentation is extremely misleading. We have stayed at basic budget hotels with better amenities, cleanliness, breakfast, and service. The combination of poor maintenance, misleading advertising, and exceptionally rude staff made this one of our worst hotel experiences. Do not waste your money here.

The location was perfect for exploring Deadwood by foot. Easy check in, parking was convenient and very necessary since we were there so close to the Sturgis rally. Wish we had more time to explore honestly!

Location is excellent and the rooms are very nice and comfortable. No daily maid service unless you ask for it…

Rooms were clean. Check in staff not so friendly. Breakfast was ok. Could hear all the traffic.
