Hotel Komodor

I liked the clean room, the convenient location, the friendly staff, and the stunning view from the balcony. The room was comfortable, and the overall stay was pleasant. The breakfast had the same selection every day, with very little variety. There were also flies landing on the food, which was unhygienic and should be addressed.

Parking can be a little challenge so make sure to ask where to unload and park before you get there.

Good stay, but our friends stayed in a cheaper room and it was nicer and more spacious.

Eventhough there is an elevator but there are too more steps before reaching the room. Big luggage got some difficulty on this.

Breakfast --tasty and nice variety. Only difficulty was no elevator in that Annex building. Staff at reception desk were exceptional! Lacking an elevator in the Annex building

Great location. Great location. Across from Sunset Beach on the rocks. Bring water shoes for walking on the rocks. Souvenirs/Market/Casino 2 minute walk from hotel. Downtown/Game of Thrones 10 minutes away by bus. Take the #4 bus outside the hotel. Bus fills up fast from downtown back to hotel. It is very easy to take the bus. 2.50 euros per person. Breakfast has a variety of choices and buffet style. The food is good. The dinner buffet is from 19:00 to 21:00. The price is 23 euro, excluding drinks. A variety of food daily and its good Mediterranean food. I had a private balcony with lounge chairs. The pool is very nice with lots of lounge chairs. The air conditioner in the room was cold. Hot water in shower. Standing water when showering, but the water will drain before you get out of the shower. No problems with the toilet. Ms. LJUBA in housekeeping is so nice and sweet. If you need anything or service in your room; she will do it. Zoran, the bar tender, is a sweetheart. He's so nice and friendly. If I ever visit Croatia again, I will stay here because of the great service I received from Ljuba and Zoran. They really made me feel welcomed. Overall, for the money, this is a decent hotel. I would recommend this hotel The bed pillow was too soft. The bathroom was small. All bathrooms in Europe are small, so I won't give a bad review for that.

A bit pricey for this hotel but good

We were on 3rd floor. No Elevators. We had to walk up and down 3 flights whenever we went to our room. No elevator so it was very difficult to manage.

Location. Stayed in annex. Soviet Yugoslavia era building with the ambience of a dormitary. Room was small, and don't think they have cleaned under the bed since fall of the Berlin Wall, bathroom towels were as thin as tissues (great water pressure in bathroom but water went everywhere). Pool is the size of a stage stamp, a glorified large jacuzzi, but they had sun loungers for sun worshippers. Staff were helpful and friendly in their way, nice to swim in the Med across from the hotel, bus to the old town nearby and takes 10 mins, and breakfast was OK. Cannot recommend the hotel considering the cost, had it been half the price still unacceptable. Haven't stayed anywhere this bad since backpacking around eurooe staying at hostels many decades ago.

I absolutely loved my stay at Hotel Komodor. The location is very convenient, making it easy to get around Lapad and explore the area. Sunrise Beach is just a 5-minute walk from the hotel, and there’s a bus stop within walking distance that takes you directly to Dubrovnik in about 20 minutes. The atmosphere at the hotel is welcoming, and overall it was a very pleasant and comfortable experience. It’s surprising to see such a nice place with lower scores, because it truly deserves more recognition. The hotel offers everything you need for a great stay: a generous buffet breakfast, clean and well-kept rooms, and a pool to relax by. Considering the value for money, Hotel Komodor is an excellent choice. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Dubrovnik. Noise from the corridors can occasionally be heard
