Restaurant on the beach was simple, the beach was ok. Got a room with no view, thats on me, but it was a bummer

Even though it's a single room, not having a freezer during the peak summer season is really bad.

I have zero negatives

The location was the only nice thing about the property. Everything else inside the hotel was very poor and disappointing. We booked for 3 nights total and stayed only one night as it was too late to go to a different hotel. We checked out the next day and booked a room at Valamar Argosy. We contacted booking.com about our troubles and they completely ignored us. Poor customer service by Booking.com The inside of the hotel was very old, dingy and musty. The price the hotel charges per night is too high. My pillows had stains, there was black mold on the shower walls, there was rust of the bathroom fixtures, the shower door was broken and falls on you when you try to close it, the water drains very slowly when you’re in the shower, the rugs near the bed were very dirty and look like they haven’t been washed, there was sand under the rugs, the beds were sunken into. I can go on. When we told the hotel we’re checking out even though we paid for 3 nights, they didn’t even ask why we were leaving. When I asked about how to submit a request for a refund, that’s when they asked why we were leaving. We told them the stay did not meet our expectations and they all they said was sorry and didn’t ask us to elaborate further. Clearly they didn’t care for their current guests or their future guests.

No elevators

We have been coming to Hotel Vis every year, and it never disappoints. The location is perfect – the beautiful pebble beach is right below the hotel, making it so easy to enjoy the crystal-clear Adriatic Sea. One of our favorite places is the hotel’s lovely terrace, shaded by olive trees, where you can relax and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. Another great advantage is how easy it is to reach Dubrovnik’s Old Town. The bus stop is right in front of the hotel, and there is a direct bus to Pile Gate, the main entrance to the Old Town and Stradun, making sightseeing very convenient. A very special thank you to Mirna, the Head of Reception, for your professionalism, kindness, and warm hospitality. It was truly appreciated. The staff are friendly, the rooms are clean, and the overall atmosphere is relaxing and welcoming. We always enjoy our stay and highly recommend Hotel Vis to anyone visiting Dubrovnik. We are already looking forward to coming back next year!

Patio the breakfast. The swimming right next. Rooms were nice No elevator. Hard to bring luggage up and down.

Location was perfect. The views were breathtaking. The price actually fit the amenities. The staff was excellent and the breakfast buffet was delicious and full of options. There was no elevator so carrying your luggage was a pain. Cleaning carts were left in the hallway as was cribs and anything else not easily moved without an elevator.

Perfect location to access public transport to the old town. Beautiful private beach. Exceptionally friendly staff. There was no elevator to carry luggage up but the staff was helpful and carried up the luggage

Excellent property, nice, clean and room view. Outstanding staff, very helpful, delicious and big breakfast. Location at the beach and close to downtown by bus but away from the rush of tourists Nothing to add here, everything was outstanding

The staff was professional and friendly, very customer focused. Breakfast was bountiful. The view from our room to the sea and balcony were a special touch Room was a bit small and towels need to be replaced with new ones, these were clearly well worn. The a/c was noisy.

The property is right on the beach. It's only 12-15 min from the old city and there is a bus stop just outside the hotel. Excellent breakfast. The rooms specially the bathroom was a bit small but the views, and location made up for it. The bathroom is too small.

Location and breakfast Walls are very thin and you can hear everything from other rooms. Also, morning light bleed was problematic.

Oceanfront, can’t ask for a better view. Restaurants, promenade, quiet but lively. Excellent choice compared to old town, in my opinion. The hotel structure is a bit old, but the housekeepers make an excellent job in keeping it clean and tidy.

Superb beach location. View from room spectacular. Good facilities. No elevator. Had to go up three flights of stairs carrying 40 lb suitcases.

Breakfast was ok and beachfront location. There are a few issues with this property. Very loud and thin walls, you can hear absolutly everything from people walking in the hall, so if you are a light sleeper I would skip this one. Room was really old and it smelled liked it. definetly need some renovations. Also, no elevator so be prepared to walk up and down a lot. although breakfast was good, the coffee was bad, not sure it was the machine or thw quality of the coffee but we tried it on the 3 mornings we were there and it was always like burnt coffee. the hotel is beachfront but they don't offer sunbeds, there is a place renting it right in front of the hotel - we assumed it was for gests but then were informed that it was 15 euros per sunbed, so, no beach structure at all. We had dinner there one night and it was passable.
