We always enjoy staying at the Suites! Rooms are great and clean. The hallways noise got a bit loud at times but nothing too crazy.

The hotel staff was pleasant and helpful. The hotel was clean and in a great location in the Canal Park area

Great location, well maintained

Wasn't luxury by any means, but had everything needed to be comfortable.

Parking can be challenging if you arrive too late at night.

The staff was very friendly and prompt. The room was a little dirty; The bathroom was out of soap, the towels had stains on them, a dirty kids t-shirt and squirt gun were left from the previous guest. We booked with three people but had to ask for sheets, blanket, and pillow for the pullout that had stains . Overall, the hotel was not worth the price, but the staff was great.

Great location with nearby restaurants

Staff were friendly, which we appreciated. Location is a big plus — walking distance to an ice cream shop, restaurants, and Lake Superior. Cleanliness was a real problem, though. We found crumbs on the floor, and when we pulled out the sofa bed, there was a large stain that looked like urine and had a noticeable smell. Hot water was also an issue — showers only ever got lukewarm, never actually hot. Noise was another issue — there's a bar across the street, and at night there was a lot of activity including fighting and partying that kept us awake. Given the cleanliness, noise, and hot water issues, the price doesn't match the experience. Great location and friendly staff, but the room needs real attention — better TV placement, thorough cleaning of the pullout couch, working hot water, and something to address the noise

We stay here every time we are in Duluth because of the location be price. Room was nice and well apportioned.. but we didnt have any spoons. Beds were comfortable! The kids pool was roped off and the hot tub was cloudy. Sauna was good and pool was open but chilly.. but a not warm enoughfor this Southern girl. LOL. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall for the price and location a good deal.

Another issue was that the room was not well insulated for sound. Since there weren't any windows on either side, there were hallways running along both sides of the room. We could hear anyone walking past and I was awoken several times by people talking coming back after bar closing. They weren't being terribly obnoxious, just talking loudly -- like you do coming back after bar time -- but it sounded like they were in our room! Lastly, we were having a late breakfast before checking out. We had an afternoon memorial to attend and wanted to freshen up before checking out. I asked the person at the front desk if a late checkout were possible. She said is noon ok? I agreed and we left for breakfast. When we returned, we were locked out of the room. Not a big deal, I just went down to the desk to get our key re-authorized. There was a different person at the desk and she said checkout was at 11. I told her the other desk clerk had given us a noon checkout. She said 'we don't do that' and that 'she had no idea who that person was' implying, I guess, that I made it up. We did get back into our room and get our things. It was just unnecessary to treat me that way. Needless to say, we won't be returning.

Great location. Spacious rooms. Clean hotel. Pool was huge.

Location is great and the free parking a welcome bonus. Wifi was basically non existent and the worse l have experienced in a long time.
-
Parking is across the busy street which makes a little unsafe for those with little kids and lots of stuff to haul but location is unbeatable. The only hiccup was that our room’s AC got busted late in the evening and they have only 2 fans, 1 of which was super noisy and doesn’t really provide air. We got upgraded to 1 of their nicest rooms but have no time to enjoy anyway because it was late at night and we had to repack and haul all our belongings from 1 floor to another.
-
Nice room but it wasn’t very clean. Lots of long black hairs on the bathroom floor and tv stand hadn’t been dusted in a long time. Otherwise, place was nice. Convenient to everything downtown!
-
Great location. Nice staff. Our room had no window which was advertised, but I did not like it. It was perfectly clean. The hot tub at pool was out of order. The breakfast was ok.

Great location, breakfast was meh.

We have always loved the location of the hotel. We also enjoy the many dining options and the location the the Canal Park Bridge. When I booked the room, I know that I had booked a room with the westward window. My husband and I love watching and hearing the charter boats come in. So I was very disappointed that we had been given an interior room. Our room was clean and prepped nicely for our stay.

Nice location. Big room.
-
Site claims they have a pool. They no longer have a pool Everything was very worn Asked staff for things to do and they had no suggestions, even though there was a huge discovery center directly across the hwy

The room was clean and the front desk staff was very nice and helpful. Check-in and check-out was pretty smooth. The pool was cold. My daughter enjoyed it; however, I stuck a couple legs in there and told her she was swimming by herself. The workout room is very tiny. If you don't need much, then it would work just fine. We never got any housekeeping but that's not the end of the world. We only stayed for two days. I stayed in an interior room that has two doors that lead to two hallways. If you like windows, then don't get that room. I believe they advertise the types of rooms. I brought a noise machine and didn't notice much noise from either hallway. The room was a little stuffy but not terrible. The bathroom was out of conditioner and body wash, and the front desk quickly remedied that situation. The location was nice. The parking lot is a little rough but works just fine. This was my first time in Duluth and I would stay here again but maybe get a different room.
