We have stayed at Canal Park Lodge for four years. It’s a beautiful property, has a great breakfast, and s’mores by the fire! We’ll be back! Our favorite place to stay in Duluth!

Enjoyed our one night. Everything is in walking distance. Room was very clean, the breakfast was great and the pool/hot tub was nice to relax and to end the night.

This was my second time staying here. I love staying at this hotel. The room was very nice and the staff was wonderful. I love that the hotel is located in Canal Park where there are many things to see and do. I would stay here again.

Room was clean but some wallpaper coming loose in bathroom. Views of lake was wonderful. Breakfast was a little weak with what tasted like powdered eggs. Overall, would still recommend this hotel for price and location.

Friendly check in. Fast and easy. Excellent complementary breakfast. Beds could be better. Lake view was lovely. Nice outdoor seating with fire ring.

The room was spotless and well appointed. We had a lake view, and it was worth taking a second floor balcony. Our grandchildren enjoyed the pool, and the area is open, bright and cheerful. Enjoying complimentary s’mores by the outdoor fire pit, left everyone with a good impression of the hotel’s hospitality. Complimentary breakfast was excellent with many hot and cold options. Hot coffee, served in either mugs or go cup, was a perfect start to the morning. The hotel’s location is unbeatable with easy access to the boardwalk along the lake, and just an 8 minute walk to the lift bridge.

We were able to watch the Wednesday evening sail boat races from the hotel’s front patio. Very enjoyable. Beautiful views. I wish we had a balcony. Staff are very nice. Duluth, and particularly Canal Park, is one of my favorite destinations.

Location was perfect for get-away with granddaughter! Loved the large patio, s’more’s and breakfast options! Would definitely recommend!

On the lake

When we entered our room, the odor was putrid! In response to our complaint, the front desk had our room “ionized” while we went out to dinner. The room still smelled. So, we were moved to a larger and much nicer room. Breakfast offered NO gluten free breads or muffins. The only fresh fruit was bananas. Lastly, the hotel is in a great location and there is free parking.

The location was terrific for exploring Canal Park, Park Point, and downtown. Great desk staff! A hot and cold, good and filling breakfast! Several pleasant, nicely decorated areas to lounge and relax.

The lake view was amazing! Everything outside was so convenient. The beds were so comfortable! Wonderful place to stay!
