Nice hotel. Complimentary drinks
-
Breakfast was very good. Great value.

The reservation stated that we would have a balcony; didn’t happen. The air conditioner was so noisy that it would wake us up every time it blasted on. We had made sure that we had the fan on a low setting; made no difference. When you ran a shower or tub the pipes would let out a continual screech that would awaken fellow travelers. Staff was nice but had very limited interaction with them.

We had trouble with our air-conditioning but they quickly made a repair when we complained by bringing us a new one. Staff is considerate and professional.

This was our second stay here. We stayed a few years ago and liked it so we went back. The place is very well maintained and is clean thru out the property. It’s walking distance from Main Street where all the shops are and places to eat. The complementary drinks were spot on. I recommend this place for the people who want to enjoy a nice quiet place to stay.

Great stay. Clean room. VERY comfortable beds and high pressure water. Close to downtown area and train station. Very cool hotel design with pool in the interior center. Staff at front desk very helpful.

Great place to stay, clean rooms, great location, walking distance to downtown, easy walk to the Durango Silverton Railway.

The location is great, especially if you plan to take the Silverton Scenic Railway. Easy to walk to restaurants, shops, movie theater, and train. Its got a nice indoor pool/hottub-- so would be great for families in the winter. The manager turns the breakfast area into a bar for a complimentary "Happy Hour". It's not fancy (plastic cups), but the drinks aren't bad! Rooms are fine and clean and has all the standard stuff, including a small fridge. Bed was comfortable. The building is probably from the 70s, so the common areas are a little shabby (rooms and bathrooms have been updated). The worst part is the design of the doors on the interior rooms facing the pool atrium. Some genius years ago probably thought double doors with windows (think 70s style french doors), would be just the thing to oversee the pool! Not sound and light-proof doors. So although there are blinds you can pull over the windows in the doors, light from the hall seeps in all around, so all night I was waking up thinking it was morning. And around 5:30 am you can hear the kitchen staff down the hall setting up (echoing across the pool atrium). They do give you earplugs automatically with the soap in the bathroom, and the AC window units are old-school LOUD-- which maybe would drown that out (again part of the design?), so the management is clearly aware of this problem. But it doesn't make it better.

Always a great place to stay in Durango

Amazing location for a Durango adventure.

The AC was subpar and the room felt dingy. The room was hot.

Good

The room was very big, spacious. I’d been on the road for 2 weeks so it was great having a big fridge and kitchenette area. There was a few issues in my room and the staff fixed them immediately! Luz was very helpful as was the manager. Everyone was very kind and informative! I loved being there!

Convenient to main street shops.
-
A really nice property, not your standard Best Western. The balcony was great and the location is walking distance from all the downtown attractions.
-
Property was very nice, including the close proximity to downtown as well as the breakfast and happy hour!!
-
Good location and the room was nice and clean. There was a hose leaking outside our room the entire time we stayed. I spoke with the staff, they said it was ‘broke’. We are in a severe drought… it was unsettling.

Just set up good clean quiet and comfortable

I love that the hotel was old. Great location to walk all over town and to the train. Drinks in the evening was amazing after spending the day with the kids. I love an indoor pool, especially after being outside most of the day. Room exceeded my expectations, we recently started getting a king with a pullout couch because we have 2 kids and trying to make 2 smaller beds work is always a hassle. Room was huge with a balcony, fridge, microwave. Was not expecting all the amenities, maybe I just didn't read everything lol. The step coming into our room, I managed to trip on it everyday.
