Very classy and excellent day

The house itself… and the innkeepers are clearly nice. Shared bathrooms (I should’ve read more carefully) and lockdown mechanisms were continually frustrating. I felt like I was paying $300 a night to stay at a student hostel. It was the only time in life I wanted my vacation to be over in advance.

The hosts treated us like visiting friends. They were very helpful and generous with information about places to go and things to do in Durango and surrounding areas. We stayed 2 nights and the two breakfasts were outstanding. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.

Beautiful historic house with beautiful rooms. Lots of cute areas to sit and relax. Nespresso coffee, chocolates, and filtered water included. Excellent breakfast that is included. Lovely hospitality. Walking distance to downtown. Shared bathrooms; it wasn’t bad, just something to consider. You’re basically sharing a house with people you don’t know, so, can be a bit awkward for those that want privacy.

Home is a stunning piece of history.

My husband and I stayed here on our wedding night- we are Durango locals & this was a truly unique experience. The owners made us a beautiful breakfast and gave us history of the 130+ year old building and surrounding area! We will be back- just for funsies! Thank you guys!

Spa-like experience. Beds were so comfortable. Hosts were spectacular. Architecture was beautiful, and the surroundings were so peaceful. I loved the shower and the robes and the thick soft towels. Breakfast was the best I’ve ever had. Everything was top notch. This property was so unique and special, but was less expensive than the more mainstream places. everything was awesome.

We loved staying at the Gable House along with our dog. The owners and staff were wonderful. We plan to stay there again. We appreciated the 40 amp EV charging onsite for free. This made our travels very easy. We stayed three nights. The breakfast was also wonderful.

Wish we could have stayed longer!

This is a beautiful building and location. There is a lot of history to the Gable House. The hosts were kind enough to share that history with us over a fantasy breakfast. I highly recommend you try this place out.

From our dealings on the phone with Charlie, to our warm welcome by Emily (who also cooked for us,) we could not have felt more well cared for! Gable House is strikingly beautiful, filled with fascinating artwork and furnishings, all unique to the area and the house’s history. We look forward to returning with friends and family!
