The Reef Apartments

Loved how close the beach was and the privacy they gave us. Cleaning lady was really sweet as well. Super clean too. The noise upstairs was too much, it was as if there was furniture being dragged across the floor. Especially at odd tones of the night like 2am/3am. There was no breakfast even when they said there’s breakfast on the listing

The location is fantastic, with beautiful ocean views and the beach within easy walking distance. The bed was also exceptionally comfortable — honestly one of the most comfortable mattresses I have ever slept on! We stayed here twice, once on our way up and again on our return journey. The accommodation was comfortable overall and the gentleman who welcomed us was very friendly and chatty on our second visit. The kitchenette is basic, with a fridge and microwave rather than full cooking facilities, but it was adequate for an overnight stay. The location is definitely the highlight, and despite a few issues, we would stay here again. There were a few maintenance issues that could use some attention. Some of the door locks were difficult to use properly, and the TV reception was very fuzzy. On our second stay we also noticed a few bugs coming out from around the room. There are quite a few stairs to reach the accommodation, and the access to the loft is very steep, so this is worth keeping in mind if travelling with young children, lots of luggage or anyone with mobility difficulties. None of these were deal-breakers for us, but addressing the maintenance issues would definitely improve the overall experience.

The noise from other tenants & people shouting in the passage while you still trying to stay asleep & relax, the establishment has no rules to control other tenants not make noise for other paying tenant, there was a lot of disturbance of my peace, that was veery annoying I must say

Excellent location in an upmarket suburb and close to the beach. Very welcoming check in experience and check out was seamless, Eugene was lovely. A secure garage for our vehicle was a great bonus. Good quality bedding and comfortable mattress. Great overall value for money and a good choice for a shorter stay (no self-catering/cooking facilities, except a microwave). The kitchen light did not work (a crackling/zapping sound also emanating from the light switch when you used the switches) . Little ventilation and no extractor fan for the bathroom. The front door with its frosted glass panels lets in quite a bit of light at night from the passageway.

Nearby breakfast place was awesome with friendly people. The place was near the beach which topped the romantic walks by the beach. Access to e-hailing transportation was on point. Room had kitchen appliances except for an iron...which would've been a plus**

The room was not bad I am writing to formally express my profound dissatisfaction with the service I recently encountered at your establishment. The demeanor and conduct of the gentleman at the reception desk were, quite frankly, deplorable. His attitude was condescending, and he made every effort to render me uncomfortable, treating me in a manner more befitting a child than a valued guest. Furthermore, the simple task of obtaining an invoice was transformed into an arduous ordeal, as though the receptionist were intent on exercising undue authority rather than providing assistance. This behavior is not only unprofessional but also wholly unacceptable in a hospitality environment. Such treatment has left me resolute in my decision never to patronize your establishment again. I would strongly caution prospective clients against subjecting themselves to such discourtesy and disregard.

No My wife and I recently stayed at this guesthouse, and unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing and unsettling. Throughout the night, there were multiple groups of intoxicated guests causing a disturbance. Loud music was played continuously, and there were frequent screams and shouting coming from the passageways. It was nearly impossible to get any rest due to the constant noise. What made matters worse was the lack of any visible intervention from hotel staff. The situation escalated to the point where we genuinely did not feel safe. At one point, my wife was verbally abused and sworn at by a group of girls in the hallway because she went to the reception to complain about the noise. We expected a comfortable and secure environment, but instead, we were left feeling anxious and disappointed. This experience fell far below basic hospitality standards, and we would strongly urge management to take guest safety and noise control much more seriously.

The Reef is a very very nice and affordable place to visit, the apartments are clean, the bedding is of high quality and Eugene the host is just the best, never to busy for a quick chat and making sure we are comfortable and have everything that we needed... i can not wait to visit again

The property at Reef apartments was very neat and spacious. The rooms were clean and smelt very nice. Everything was perfect, no complaints non whatsoever.

The fact that its near the beach also nice n neat with wonderful stuff That they don't offer breakfast, hope next. Time it will be included aswell. Also no enough car parking. Or very important tnat you dontt have lifts, the stairs are tiring.

Everything was organized and up to standard. Good staff and good facilities. One pillow smelled like dirty feet. apart from that, everything was good and satisfying. All other pillows and towels were nice and clean and smelled fresh
