It’s a charming grade 2 Victorian hotel. I love the high ceilings and the architecture. It has a lot of character and charm. It’s a great hotel.

I have stayed here for about 3 years off and on. It's in a great location. Next to some really nice restaurants and shops and of course right across the road from the seafront and Pier. I love to swim in the sea and this hotel is so convenient for this. I had a corner sea view from my hotel window and I didn't even have to pay extra for it. The beds were very comfy, and my room was very nice and cool even in this hot weather as I had two windows with a nice cross breeze and a fan in the room too. The breakfasts were nice and very filling. The room had a nice bathroom with a great shower. Most of the staff were lovely. But 1 woman was a bit rude. She refused to get me an extra pillow when I asked for it. The room could get a bit noisy in the evenings with workmen working late with heavy goods machinery till about 10:30 at night and big groups of teenage students shouting. But I know this noise wasn't the hotel's fault.

The rooms were very old and tired
-
Location Extremely poor customer service. No room cleaning or supply replacement unless requested. No air conditioning.

Tired bathroom and the outside could certainly do with a refresh

It was close to the bandstand breakfast was good THE LIFT was out of order for the whole stay. We was put on the 3rd floor and was told we couldn’t be moved that day. My daughter is disabled and I have a heart condition. It nearly killed us both claiming those stairs. We had a beautiful sea view but when they moved us our view was of the outside fire escape stairs. They kept promising the lift would be fixed but it wasn’t. I will never stay there again

Have used this hotel many times over the past 15 years. The view amazing (but miss the beautiful carpet bedding outside the hotel) Room was clean & freshly painted but the bathroom awful, dusty and dirty. Breakfast fine. Staff work very hard The young lady on reception was cheerful, welcoming and an asset to the Burlington. We paid a budget price, this was fair for the accommodation. The bathroom.....didn't want to use the shower or bath. Understand the hotel is undergoing renovations, definitely an improvement since last year. But, unclean bathroom - not good Also, miss the old entertainment host and dancing.

Location And staff. Right on the waterfront, Staff were nice and helpful, you get waht you pay for but the hotel is very tun down. Lift was broken and stairs were steep. It felt a bit like the Hotel in the Shining..lol. A warren of hallways. Bathroom and shower were barely big enough to turn around in.

Good location near town centre, beach and pier. Decent sized room. Comfortable beds. Good view of pier (but spoilt by extremely dirty windows). Friendly and helpful staff. Lifts not working. Room very hot and no air conditioning, clean in some parts but dirty in others. The windows were very dirty and the window frames were rotten. The room was not serviced during our stay.

The staff were friendly. The carpets were stained and they smelt. The hotel was in my opinion and my partners opinion not done up since the 1970s. I had to ask for towels and toilet roll to be delivered to my room on the second day. Otherwise no one came around to the room. The carpet in our room was stained.
