Good value for money and included breakfast which was great. I stupidly locked myself out of my room and the staff were very kind, which I appreciated.

Spacious room, lovely high ceilings, bath, breakfast included, gorgeous view of the sea, right opposite the beach, but on a parallel street so less noisy than being right on main road, friendly staff! Not too far from end of South Downs Way! Very close to The Grand Hotel for a nice spa and lunch. Thankyou! Hard to think of anything that I didn't like. The decor of the room wasn't quite my taste but you can't please everyone with that!

Excellent room with fabulous sea view. Spotlessly clean and comfortable. Not keen on reception area, and the shabby hall & stairways carpet gave a poor first impression

Clean, comfortable bed, friendly staff, good location for where I needed to be. There wasn’t anything to dislike- it was a lovely stay…except maybe the coffee sachets in the room.

Good location and easy access, sea view from the room and from the breakfast area. Friendly staff and a good selection for breakfast. Room was comfatable and had nearly everything needed. Good place to stay and would happily stay again Lack of coat hangers.

This was our 4th stay at the Halcyon and as always it didn't disappoint. Rooms nice and clean. Our view was amazing, big windows from floor to ceiling looking out to sea.

It’s a great little hotel! You get good value for money and the rooms are spacious and super comfy, we were right at top and had a wonderful sea view. I really enjoyed my stay and will book again for next year. Thank you Halcyon. The shower took a while to drain away, first time I used it I was convinced I was going to flood the bathroom, but I didn’t and it did drain, just a little slower than normal. The breakfast room was a little confusing on first visit but I believe the girl who was in there to help may have been new to the job so I won’t hold that against them. Brekkie is a simple help yourself cold meats, cereal, breads, and tea, coffee or fruit juice. Enough to get you started and head out to explore.

Great location, friendly staff, clean. Comfortable bed. They could transform the feel of the place by swapping out the dreadful bright white light bulbs in the lamps that make you feel like you’re staying in a photocopier for warm white. That would totally change the feel of the room. It was absolutely worth the money though

The location, the view from my room (seaview). The cleanliness and how friendly everyone was (eapecially Lorraine). The hotel sign should be more visible from the road.

Very affordable, breakfast included and a great night sleep, what more can you ask for. The stairs.
