Immediately upon checking in we were warmly greeted and upgraded to an ocean front room. We loved having the hot and cold drinking water in the room. The breakfast was good and different every day. The staff were all friendly and helpful. A little overpriced for being on a non swimming beach.

Way overprized, toilet not working, ants inside and rat running outside the apartment at night. Needs some big renovations

Location and staff

Location was right on the Vanilla Beach. many restaurants, coffee shops and bars in walking distance. Each breakfast was home made. For those with a nostalgic flare, this property has a unique history to investigate. Intermittent WiFi and occasional water supply challenges. Pesky trinket sellers on the beach at all times of the day.

The Wi-Fi wasn’t encrypted, so using it was not secure. There appeared to be a bar, but it closed very early—we never saw it open, and it was definitely closed by around 7 PM. Given the beautiful view from the bar area, it could have benefited from being open later, offering guests a more enjoyable experience.

We had the honeymoon suite which was a room by itself. Right on the beach. Plenty of restaurants walking distance. Massages available on-site. Hardly had hot water. Room had a jetted tub for two. No hot water and tub did not work. Free WiFi would go in and out.

Location was perfect for tours. The staff was the best. Dated but clean.

Location is fantastic as the POPS district has several nearby stores and restauants to choose from. The main grocery stores are located closer to El Nido proper. The Drugman store is near the Market and Bus Depot and is walkable from the Hotel. The beach is great, but you need to walk 100 m to get to water waist deep. The staff are always trying to help and the breakfast was good. Several times there was no water in our room (Moon Room) but at least we had hot water, our friends never did? The power went out one evening and the staff couldn't get the backup generator started but it was back on when we returned from dinner. The Kayak that we used had a leak and we barely made it back from Papaya Beach, hopefully they repaired this unit. The beach side bar was never open, not sure how long that has been the case. Property needs some TLC, but our bathroom had recently been renovated.

The small number of staff members worked hard to manage this aging property. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was tasty and freshly made for each guest-no choice but always very good. The location on Corong Corong beach was central with many very good restaurants close by. The access to the beach and kayaks allowed us to paddle over to papaya beach and Seven Commandos Beach to snorkel-amazing! The rooms were clean, new water dispenser (hot & cold), and some rooms had new water heaters. We were without hot water for our entire stay. Some days there was no water at busy times - morning or late afternoon. The water system needs to be upgraded. The power went out one evening but this could be an island issue however the generator would not start for quite sometime.

The only advantage of this hotel is its location – it is right on the beach. However, the beach is very crowded with tourists, and unfortunately, there are a lot of dog droppings This hotel does not meet expectations, especially considering the price. Cleanliness is a major issue – we saw insects in the room, and the jacuzzi bathtub was covered in soot. There were frequent power and water outages, and when the water was available, it had very low pressure and was always cold. The breakfast was so poor that we chose to eat at local restaurants instead. Issues with the wi-fi connection.

One night we returned to our room and there were two huge cockroaches within. The humidity is a roach haven. Perhaps spraying the rooms more often and sealing any door gaps would help with this. However, as much as I hate roaches, we loved our stay so much, we will definitely come back.

It was a really nice room and bathroom and affordable for the area. It was very quiet. The free breakfast was bigger and better than other places we stayed. Water pressure was great and water heater worked great. Room had a mini fridge and freezer, it's own water dispenser for cold or hot water, instant coffee packets and mugs and cups, and a TV (but we never turned it on). The staff was very helpful and helped us setup out island hopping trip and made us an early breakfast on the day we checked out. The hotel is on the beach but most rooms do not have a beach view. The beach out front was very pretty and had beautiful sunset views. You can easily walk to restaurants along the beach or along the rode and it's a quick tricycle ride to El Nido town if you want more options. Beds were a little hard but okay and pillows were hard. Not enough towel racks in bathroom. The shower head is at chest height but it is a hand held one so you can hold it to wash your hair and upper body. The water would just stop working occasionally but only for a minute or two and then it would come back on. A bit annoying if you are in the middle of washing your hands or showering. Also, the power went out a few times which wasn't a big deal except that these bright emergency lights in the room would turn on and there was no way to turn them off so this was disruptive when the power would go out at night. Luckily the power would come back on in a few minutes each time. Sometimes the staff was hard to find. The beach out front was too shallow to swim while we were there.

Its located outside the el nido center, so its a good place if you are looking for rest, silence. It feels like going to someone’s place to spend a few dats at the seaside. Located on the beach with good options around to ea i.e. bella vita and to watch the sunset or have a drink i.e. sunset bar is 10 min away walk. Each room feels like your own little apartment. It was a nice yard to chill with massage beds available. Its safe and quiet.

kinda pricey for a hotel that doesnt have lunch and dinner place to eat, breakfast was okay, they dont give you an option for breakfast, everyone is getting served scrambled eggs, toast and fruit.poor wifi in the room. bathroom floor is pretty slippery when its wet, the owner was very nice though. we’ee just happy that we got a place to stay in that night.
