Motel 6 Elk Grove Village, IL - O'Hare

The room had a humid smell the bathroom had mold in the wall they change me rooms the 2nd room still smell bad and had a crack in the bathroom floor.

I was charged a $20 extra check in fee for coming early. I drove from New Jersey to Chicago. Got there at 9am. Got a room at noon. Just think if you have the rooms cleaned and ready I should be able to check in without a fee.

My room smelt like cat pee

This hotel in the middle of nowhere was a pleasant surprise. The hotel is very clean and the staff is extremely nice and friendly. I would come to this hotel whenever I'm in town.

No toiletries

The biggest drawback was the mattress. I could feel the springs, which made it uncomfortable. A new mattress or quality topper would make a significant difference. The common hallway could also use more consistent cleaning. Overall, this was a good budget property with several things going for it, but the mattress significantly affected the comfort of my stay.

Room 128 - smelled like mold and appeared to have growth on the walls. A big health hazard

This was the best motel 6 we have stayed in ever. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We hope to get this one again on our next visit.

The humidity is terrible. The doors are even hard to open because of it. It is so humid that you will wake up with your hair wet. The mattress is extremely soft, you sink into it, but at the same time you can feel the springs. The pillows are also way too soft. You will not sleep well between the humidity, the odor, the mattress, and the pillows. The only good things are that it is cheap and close to O’Hare Airport, around a 15-minute drive.

The property is close to the ORD, they have Spacious and clean rooms, the laundry room was not working properly the week I visited, they have coffee from 6am-10am.

Rooms are very basic and outdated. I also found a roach in my room! STAY FAR AWAY!

Staff wasn’t helpful when booking a cab. Like it was there first time. One wash cloth to share. No shampoo. Floors were sticky. Bed way too soft. You sunk in. Only coffee served no hot tea

The staff were very professional.
