Fairfield Inn & Suites Elkhart

The room was nice, bed and pillows were comfy. The breakfast was good, nice selection and the quality was good. Only downside was the pool. We picked this hotel for the pool, after long hours on the road we were looking forward to relaxing in the pool. The water was very dirty. The pool room had such a strong smell of chlorine that it was uncomfortable to be in there. The water was cloudy and had stuff floating in it. There was a towel at the bottom of the pool too. I sat by the stairs and put my feet in the water. I had a cut in my foot and the water made it sting. Disappointing, we gave up on any swimming after 10 minutes.

The humidity in the room was 80% in the evening and 84% in the morning. The manager stated there is no climate control in the building and all the rooms are similar. Our room smells of mildew. There was frequently no hot water for 7 days. We were informed that two water heaters are not functioning. No other response from management. We will not stay at a Fairfield location in the future.

I requested a room on the 1st floor, easily accessible for a disabled/elderly family member, and we were given a room on the 2nd floor all the way at the end of the hall, literally the very last room.

The staff. The dayshift female at the front desk was friendly & professional which made me feel welcomed. I also liked the location as it was close to Planet Fitness, Cracker Barrel, and the Chubby Trout. Nothing.

Room was ok, only issue were linens, smelling on mold and wallpaper peeling from the walls. Breakfast was ok. Hotel should have more breakfast staff, as one person could not refill all so fast. Very nice front desk staff.

Elevator and room location were very helpful but the friendly staff were the most memorable pleasure for me

The main reason I chose this hotel was for the pool, however the pool was closed the entire duration of our stay. I would have definitely picked other hotels around the same price had I known the pool was closed. The beds were harder than I anticipated.

There was a storm in the area which knocked out soem of the amenities like the TV, but that was not their fault. The staff had to unlock our room door for us as the card feature was not working. The staff had to work extra hard to accomodate people. The room was clean and comfortable. Good staff tryign to make the best of a hard situation.

Great clean place. Location is perfect for us. We have stayed here before and will again. Breakfast is great.

Staff was amazing other than the front desk. We had to be let into our room every time we left to go anywhere, due to the keys not being able to be made! In addition to that there was no tv service due to the cable being out from the storm. So we left a day early, as it was boring with no tv, and having to be let into our room every time we left!

The gentleman at the desk on check-in was very pleasant and helpful.

Beautiful place, but needs more friendly staffs and was out of service for all days that we stayed, breakfast was good but rooms was not cleaned I have to request it
