These newly renovated rooms were very beautiful. The bed was the most comfortable ever and the bathroom was so beautiful, my wife wants her home similar. The staff were very welcoming and made us feel at home. The cleaning staff were very professional. The best part was the brand-new swimming pool. This place is located perfectly down the street to the beach and downtown Encinitas. Also, across the street is a shopping center with awesome restaurants and a great little market. I was here on a business trip and took my family. They really enjoyed themselves and I was able to relax after work.

For a basic hotel it was just what we needed. It was close to the beach. Close to the train station. It had just been remodeled so it was super clean and everything was new. The pool was under construction too, which was a bit of a bummer. Overall, for a cheap hotel it was perfect.

The location is great for the value you get in this area. It's walkable(a few small hills)to moonlight beach, a small park, restaurants, McGills skate shop, other retail stores, the transit station,and Lazy acres grocery store. We used to live down the road and know how expensive the hotel prices can be . The staff were all very friendly. They are doing a remodel so can't speak for what the property should look like. The pool was clean and had plenty of seats. The bed was comfortable and the fridge worked well. I would have liked a coffee maker in the room, but they did have it in the temporary lobby. Bathroom had plenty of towels and hot water. My only concern is that we saw a few different sketchy people wandering in the parking lot. Obviously not guests. So maybe a little more security. Definitely would stay again and recommend.

Unfortunately, our stay was very disappointing and did not match what was advertised online. The hotel appeared online to be clean, comfortable, and to offer a pool and breakfast, but our experience was quite different. The room was very small and not what we expected. We also noticed a strong smoking smell, which made the stay even more uncomfortable, especially for our family. The pool was closed, and there was construction happening at the property. We understand that construction can happen, but guests should be informed about major disruptions like this before arriving so they can make an informed decision. The breakfast was also very disappointing. Instead of the breakfast we expected, we were given a small bag containing an apple, protein bars, and cheese crackers. There was no milk available for the kids and no coffee. This was not what we expected based on the breakfast deal advertised online. Overall, we did not have a pleasant stay. The combination of the small room, smoking smell, closed pool, construction, and disappointing breakfast made the experience very frustrating. The biggest issue was the lack of communication about these conditions before our arrival. We hope the hotel will be more transparent with guests in the future and make sure the online information accurately reflects the current conditions.

We had a very pleasant stay here. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-located. We loved our time in the area so much that we wanted to stay an extra day, and the front desk made extending our booking totally seamless.

TV didn't work, super cheap bedding, shower curtain was so short water got everywhere, no towel hooks, no cups, no hair dryer. Noisy building.

Small room

The rooms are renovated and very clean, but there is still construction going on in the lobby and many other areas of the hotel, so it doesn't look nice outside rooms. Staff are cordial and professional, even though they don't have a reception area. Location is excellent.

Finicky TV. No water glasses. The checkin area is a hotel room with a desk. No working elevator. Should be closed during renovation. Unacceptable accommodations unless you don’t care about sleeping.

Room was very clean. The lobby is under construction, so there was no breakfast room, literally no where to sit, and no more than two people could access the minimal breakfast that was available in the small portion of the room they were using as a lobby. Also, the outside of the whole facility, especially stairways, was dirty, unwelcoming and had an unpleasant smell. The room has no place to sit, just the beds. It's truly a motel.
