no onsite restaurant. Overall stay was 3 to 4 rating.

This was a good experience overall. Netflix was not available on the TV. Breakfast options were limited. Coffee creamers were available, but empty and Splenda and cream cheese were not available. Although there were small things missing from the experience, the hotel was nice and the bed was comfortable.

Will definitely stay at the Encinitan while in the area next time. Great location and spacious room.
-
It was an okay spot and good for the price. Decent parking. Nice area. Everything was close and within walking distance.
-
clean and friendly but very dated
-
Nice to have a room with a kitchenette and my daughter enjoyed the pool. Will stay here again because we have family close by.
-
Close to a lot of shops and restaurants and close to the beach.

My husband and i stayed here for 3 nights. The location was great….walking distance to shops, restaurants and the beach. The rooms are spacious and clean but very dated. Walls ate thin and you can hear tour neighbors talking.. woke up a few times to train noise and loud air conditioner. Pool area is undesirable and the food is terrible. Probably wouldn’t stay here again.

My husband and I slept in a comfortable king sized bed, however my adult daughter slept in an uncomfortable sofa bed. Since we were near the railroad tracks we would be awaken in the middle of the night with loud horn blasts. We used the pool and jacuzzi, and had free breakfasts. The hotel is near the beach, tasty restaurants, like the Tangerine Grove. We visited the Full Moon Spa, a wonderful retreat.

Overall, it’s a great location but an outdated hotel. I’m sure it was pretty special 20-30 years ago. Old sliding glass doors/latches, wall switches, etc. Sorta musty. Nice views / large decks. Front desk staff seemed like average employees than a welcoming helpful greeter. Exception: the manager-very nice & friendly. Parking was easy and great to get to. My toilet had to be flushed twice every time.

Very great place already booked for August
-
Spacious rooms, great location.
-
Location only Staff weren’t helpful, the keys kept stopping working to let us into the room, the third bed in our our room the pull out was extremely uncomfortable and I barely got any sleep. The whole property was extremely run down and tired looking.
-
Unique property. Room was large, and better suited for a longer stay. Furnishings were outdated. Bed wasn't very comfortable

Initially booked my stay at this hotel, and I had to cancel. We transferred to three different rooms and I am not picky. I have never asked to be moved in any other hotel. The rooms were dirty literally the first room my husband killed three spiders in the five minutes we were in that room the second room they tried to put me in front of a trashcan when I had paid for a view and the third room. Let's not talk about the fried fish smell. The tenant at the front was horrible he could not be bothered right from the first minute. I walked in to check in. He was too busy on his phone watching his videos and he seemed annoyed that we were interrupting him. Do not go here if you're looking for a quiet little getaway, don't let the walking distance to the beach or the little downtown deceive you

The cleaning team was also amazing: professional, thorough, and clearly take pride in keeping everything in great shape. The only downfall was getting to the beach—there’s a steep dirt trail that can feel challenging, especially if you’re traveling with bags or have someone with a torn ACL in your party (lol). But overall, it was a wonderful stay and I’d definitely come back for the cleanliness, comfort, and outstanding service.

The room smelled very musky.. like there was mold. I had the worst headache. The beds were very uncomfortable.. and the place is very outdated
