Evening Shade Inn

Our stay at Evening Shade Inn went above and beyond our expectations. The owners were excellent hosts, the amenities were amazing, and the room was cozy and full of charm. We will definitely stay there again.

What an amazing place to spend our anniversary! Such peaceful surroundings and the owners go above and beyond to make sure your stay is memorable. Fresh hot breakfast served to our room and a hot tub to wind down after a day of exploring. Highly recommend!

The breakfast was filling and delicious. We also opted for the charcuterie board. It was a great early afternoon snack! We will be going back.

ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! Gardenia cottage - PERFECT. Staff - PERFECT. Amenities - PERFECT. If you are questing about whether to spend a little extra to stay here, DO IT! You will not be disappointed. We cannot wait to return. The bed is super comfy, the hot breakfast was delicious and enough to hold us over to lunch, little snacks, water and soft drinks were a plus. We absolutely loved our quick getaway!

There was nothing not to like.

They said they didn't have hot water. I believe they overbooked.

1st day it was wonderful. 2nd day we got nothing. 8am they were still in bed! Room was adequate. Nicely appointed. Outside needed attention. Dead mums and empty flower pots at the door to office. Lawn needed mowed. Railings need painted. Eaves full of debre.

Shane and Shira were wonderful. The cottage was perfectly clean and stocked with everything we needed. Will definitely stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay so much. The jacuzzi was wonderful. Breakfast was delicious. The hosts were friendly and welcoming. We will certainly choose Evening Shade Inn again.

Breakfasts were amazing! Loved having a homemade breakfast delivered to our room each morning. The owners were super nice and very helpful when it came to recommendations. The rooms were spacious and cozy!

Spacious, clean, comfortable bed and seating! Owners have provided everything we could possibly want or need. Breakfast was delivered in a basket to our door, hot and delicious. Soft and absorbent towels, good shower. Great property! Minor issues: Back door to deck needed adjustment to open more easily. Could use safety grab bars in the shower.

Great breakfast! The unique menu makes it extra special My only concern was finding some old snacks (expired 2024 and 2022), which we ended up throwing away so they could be refreshed for the next guest. Aside from that, I really enjoyed the location, the delicious food, and especially the wonderful hospitality of the owner.

We loved Evening Shade Inn. The room was spacious & immaculately clean. The host was friendly and warm. Breakfast was very good & delivered to the room each morning at a time we requested. There was great attention to detail and the bed was comfortable. The room was actually like a suite with everything need provided for. My only negatives were that the curb appeal was lacking with weeds and overgrown plants and the ice machine was out of order the whole time. I world suggest putting small ice trays in the freezer on the small fridge to meet that need.
