Cavendish Hotel

Room was clean, comfortable beds, free parking, clean bathroom, staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful Only some very minor things; lift didn’t work but staff proactively offered to carry our luggage up and down the stairs so wasn’t an issue at all. The coffee is instant in the restaurant where we had our breakfast (but good food offer) and the juice wasn’t juice, but more like cheap squash with sweeteners instead.

Location was superb I havent explore much inside the hotel but I did passby the post and looks good for entertainment Lift wasnt working but lucky they put us in a room that we dont need lift.

Location was good and breakfast not bad Had to park at the rear and carry my luggage around to the front which meant going around the road! I was unable to lock my door but staff were not interested, the bed and pillows were hard and the room very hot as window could not be opened to far due to being on ground floor. I had no view only back yard plus for older people with disabilities the lift was not working. Clearly the hotel does not have soundproof ceilings/floors as the room above were noisy early morning.

Great location and were able to park outside the front of the hotel too so that was fab! It was VERY dated and in DESPERATE need of refurbished and decorated bedrooms and bathrooms. Wallpaper coming off the walls - and ceilings! Brass(!!) switch plates and sockets were very old, scratched and dirty. TV not even on the wall straight. Paintwork badly in need of attention throughout the hotel. Water pressure for shower very poor - just enough for a quick sploosh! Would’ve taken hours if I’d wanted to wash my hair. Floor of bathroom very squeaky and noisy as were the door hinges into the room - so no quiet early hours visit without disturbing each other!! We were on the third floor - lift was out of order, so goodness knows how those elderly folk got up to their rooms!!

Great location, right on the sea front. With complementary parking and very comfortable beds. Bathroom was nice and clean but a little small for a family of four. I am no complaining though!

Across the road from the beach close to town with plenty of bars restaurants to suit every pocket & taste Bed a bit small & firm

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was excellent. There was a problem with the hot water in the bathroom. We could not regulate the temperature in the shower and the water was far too hot.
