The Dolphin Hotel Exmouth

Breakfast had good variety of fruit, juices and toppings. Hot breakfast was good. Not much variety in cereals. Porridge would have been a nice option. Pancakes/ waffles would have made a nice change in place of other hot food such as hash browns, mushrooms, tomato, etc.. Could also have used a bit of cheese. Instant coffee was a problem, as we are perked coffee drinkers.

Friendly staff, nice ambiance, quiet and comfortable room. The shower was very low flow and difficult to get the temperature right.

Location is great it took me about 10 minutes strolling to reach the hotel from the station Town is about 5 minutes walk at the most Sea front is at the end of the street All on the flat and very quiet Management and staff we welcoming friendly and very helpful regarding local information Room was quiet and clean I honestly think that this hotel represents great value for money

Liked the bright white table cloths Our standard room was very small ....pushed the twin beds together to allow adequate access to the bed .. It was above the parrot's outdoor cage ...chatty bird ...I did not see any mention of it in the hotel info also by a main water drainage pipe ...the irregular sound of running water at all hours is not confusing to sleep.( Open windows due to heat) Very limited space for towels in bathroom with no heated towel rail.and a tiny shower . Coat hangers were provided but if used clothes would be over the kettle .! I would have been happier if this room was offered at a discounted rate so that the limitations were made clear Ordering breakfast the night before may suit the hotels planning but not mine ..the choice was relatively basic.

Very clean. Nicely decorated. Very comfortable large room and bed. Very nice breakfast. Although the bar was nice and comfortable it would have been nice to had softer lighting. Not a complaint just our preference

Nothing,all was great

It was lovely, bright and airy, we stayed when the weather in Exmouth was hot and sunny and the hotels aspect (on a corner of residential streets) complimented the sunshine outside. The room itself was exceptionally clean and well furnished with the most comfortable bed. Bathroom was also clean and looked brand new. Breakfast (ordered the night before) was delicious with a great menu choice served in a timely fashion. There wasn’t a phone in the room to ask a question nor could we find a hairdryer but these were first world problems.

The room was clean and comfortable. The shower was big and worked well. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. The location was just right. The beach was just down the road, as was the shops and cafes in the other direction. Just right. Picky, but the tv took some understanding, maybe an age thing or just a different tv. ??‍♀️

There was a warm welcome when we arrived. Everyone working there are lovely. The hotel is very clean. Our room was bright, and had good seating for the two of us. Nice bathroom. Large bed. It was nice to have a bar in the hotel that is open on the evening. The hotel is very well situated for train, town centre, seafront and marina - not far to walk in any direction The shower wasn't very powerful (although nice size walk in). I found the bed comfortable but my husband found his side of the bed sloped. I prefer not to have to order breakfast the day before and just a little more choice would be good. These are only little things - we like the place and will return again.

The staff were excellent. Very friendly and helpful. Very organized. They have several rooms on the ground floor which was a plus. Like everything.

The welcome. Although rooms not close together, they were chosen appropriately, as I might have struggled with stairs. Room perfect for me. Beautifully clean, comfortable and well furnished. The whole hotel smelled clean and fresh. Friendly, helpful staff created a homely atmosphere. Small bar available, also serving teas & coffee if wanted. Perfectly cooked and well presented breakfast, with plenty of choice. Parking a premium. Of course not forgetting the very well cared for Harriet, the parrot. ?
