Staff were really friendly and helpful. Thanks

The room was very clean and comfortable; I also liked that they had a nice area for pets and barbequing if that's what you prefer. However, customer service is a huge plus for me and upon checking in, the front desk clerk appeared annoyed that I had a dog - again, Expedia did not offer this when I registered. I felt like I was an inconvenience, but in the end, I enjoyed my stay and I loved that I was close to Fred Meyers. After my long drive from Anchorage, the bed and pillows were very comfortable.

Best described as merely meeting your basic needs. If they forget to tell you like they did us the maid only comes every 3 days and then just to take out the trash and change the towels. If you stay for 7 days or more they will do a complete cleaning. If you like to sit outside and watch the sun come up or just enjoy the weather it is standing room only not even a bench. The hand soap they leave you for washing and bathing is a thin little wafer reminiscent of the remains of a bar of soap when you're ready to throw it away. We also had to request a roll of toilet paper as there was none in the room when we arrived. If you're staying in Fairbanks plan really early and go to Sophies Station instead as we tried to do but 3 months is not enough lead time.

Was ok

In general the hotel stay was convenient. The lady at the desk could not answer when the coffee would be available and initially said that would not be any, Eventually, there was coffee available after about an hour after the original time. Not a huge deal, but the communications was lacking between staff.

Room and lobby were well-maintained.

We stay at the Aspen Suites on the Kenai and have always had good experiences. The Fairbanks Aspen is the exception, staff were not freindly and the rooms are tny, not the suites we expected. The GFCI in the bathroom didn't work, we told the staff the first day and it still wasn't fixed when we left three days later. The staff made us feel uncomfortable when we asked for two additional towels. We stayed three days and the room, we were told when we checked in that because our stay was so short our room would not be refreshed. We were not even given the courtesy to have our room refreshed if we asked. The tiny refrigerator was barely cool at the highest cold setting. Breakfast was an additional $15 per person for a fairly simple fare; cold cereal, yogurt, etc. Suggest they increase their rates by $20 and have the breakfast included for their guests.

The staff aren’t super helpful, and there are better properties in Fairbanks.

Very clean! Very comfy, sad they didn't have the room for the other nights we needed ... But would rent again forsure !!!

Check-in girl needs to smile and be more welcoming. If there is a computer issue when checking in, don’t make the customer stand waiting- offer them to sit down- esp. if they are a bit older- coffee in the am was not ready when I arrived there at 9 am and the 14 dollar charge for continental breakfast is the same complimentary breakfast many hotels offer for free. I was charged a 50 dollar pet fee that is not refundable that I wasn’t told about on my reservation. However, most importantly the room and bed were clean and comfy! I don’t think I’ll stay here again on my regular travels.

Airport shuttle was great and they were kind enough to let me sleep in after my 230 am flight. It was clean and comfortable. Walking distance to fred meyers and other food/shops.
