Radisson Hotel Akron/Fairlawn

The carpet was filthy dirty…..no breakfast served. Yes it’s being remodeled….but!!!

The hotel is under reconstruction, and you're not informed when you book your reservation. No breakfast, not kitchenette, pool, and no other amenities.

This hotel is under construction. The restaurant, bar, hottub, and continental breakfast all were shut down. The pool was very cold not usable. Carpet very dirty in the hall, walls in the room not clean, the toilet leaked all the time, and bathtub drain was very slow. I normally dont give this type of review but this needs to be noted for other travelers.

Has a four day stay. Check in was slow as sign asked to call when arriving at the desk. One other patron was also waiting. Check in itself was easy and fine. Room was ok. I did not need the microwave which was good as the door did not latch shut. I notified desk at check out. Carpet had a few fray edges and could use cleaning. Bed was great with nice soft pillows. I received a text saying maid service would be provided after 3 days. I did not need it but it never happened. Trash cans were pretty full but I had enough towels. I had some trouble with keys not working and the second time I went to the desk the clerk told me my phone may have been the cause. I did keep one in the same pocket as my phone but the second key was in my wallet. I wish he told me that the first time it occurred. Pool was closed and there was ongoing renovations. I did not notice any noise from construction so that was only an appearance issue. Location was great and overall I may give the property another chance if pool is open and other issues were addressed.

Travel three hours just to get a break and was not notified. The property was being remodeled and there would be no pool or hot tub.. a complete and total waste

Mattresses were broke down. Room was not what I reserved. No amenities. Staff didn’t have no other rooms available to put me in. Door was open when I went to my room. Key cards worked only half the time.

The property is under renovation. Doors are difficult to enter room. The pool was down, beds are hard like plywood box, Sheets had hair on them, shower wasn’t clean. No sofa bed/couch as stated in room choice to accommodate number of people. No receipt given for deposit nor proof of stay. Cancelled room within 10 minutes of being there. Asked for refund, front desk clerk/manager gave run around with the third party trying to contact to confirm that I cancelled the room. I do not recommend. I was very disappointed.

The place was dirty and smelly

There was no towels in the room,had to call the front desk to get towels and was told I can only get 2towels for me and my wife,towel rack was broke off the wall in the bathroom,it was a low budget hotel

Pool was closed. Rooms were dirty and no soap in the room my daughter stayed in. She checked out that first night. We never checked in. Couldn't check in till 5:30pm not like 3:00 as they said in the website. Hotel been in remodeling mode since December one staff member told us.

Hotel has been under renovation since December. There were no amenities. The restaurant and pool were completely closed/under construction. The room was dirty and there was no hot water. We were furious. I could not find any way to contact Hotels.com but the front desk kindly refunded our money and we left.

The staff was fine but the property has drastically declined. I used to book at that hotel all the time and it was a great place. Everything looks abandoned now, there were bugs, the water was dark brown, the toulet didn't work. It was terrible

We could have stayed at a lesser priced hotel with the lack of amenities.

We were on the road for 10 hours we didn't know where we were going to stay, we just stopped in .what a blessing and a gem! ? The only thing you don't have is a jacuzzi tub

Two-star review is for condition of the room. Although the bedsheets were clean, it smelled like stale cigarettes — kept waking up throughout the night because the smell was so nauseating. It felt like that smell was ingrained over years and it was IN everything — the carpet, the upholstery, the curtains — no amount of daily room service would have been able to rid the smell. The room itself was tidy but shabby — ripped carpet, leaking shower faucet, rusted tub, stained bathroom tiles, watermarked furniture. The rooms on the property need a major facelift, repainting, and the deep clean that comes with renovation and HVAC updates to make guests feel more comfortable. It doesn’t matter if the renovation is “dated”, so cheaper new materials with non-trending colors could be used to keep the room cost comparable to current prices—but the cigarette smell in a smoke free facility shouldn’t exist. It was, unfortunately, the only thing I could concentrate during my entire stay.

In the room there was condoms in the nightstand there was barely any guests they had no coffee and tea like they said and a little bar section they have it was not even open
