I paid for two nights but ended up staying only one; nonetheless, the property owner offered to allow me to stay there for free in the near future. I will likely take him on his offer. The location is great.

Very comfortable place to wait out storm Claudia. The new owners are lovely and helpful and I wish them all the success in the world. I'd like to come back and see what they've done with their new investment. Storm Claudia :-)

No breakfast available to anyone. But travelers left foods behind since they don't want to carry ...there was a sign of free breakfast Very cramped toilet and shower stall

After booking I realised I made a mistake. Then i tried multiple times to come in contact with them but they never answerd me. Super disappointment in this hostel and their service.

I liked the location and the room was aesthetically pleasing, nice decoration. Also a nice terrace. First of all, safety is incredibly lacking, and the door to the hostel itself was almost always open and by the end of the stay, it wouldn’t even close properly. Also the balcony didn’t even lock but that’s the least important issue. Me and my friend stayed for 6 days and on the third day or so, i came back from the beach and opened my suitcase to where i had left my wallet and went to get cash, then realized all of my cash was missing even though it had been in my wallet that same morning. Basically 200€ gone. I’m honestly not surprised because the door was super janky and wouldn’t even close right and when speaking to the owner he even admitted to me that he didn’t trust his volunteer workers and that it might’ve been one of them??. I don’t know why he hired people he doesn’t trust. Additionally he promised to give me back some sort of compensation but never did and ghosted me. The bathrooms were also really dirty and he was renovating the only girl’s bathroom for a couple of days without letting us know before hand.

Convenient for an overnight stay near the airport. Clean and nice reception.

Bedbugs

Our room and our bed was very comfortable! The location is great right next to the main area and the road! Kitchen had all the supplies we needed for supper, and the rooftop terrace was nice! The property itself was alright, and it was fairly clean. It was hard to connect with management and there were more than two different people who asked us help to check in or were sleeping in the main room with their bags because they could not get in contact with staff. It seemed that there was only a couple of hours that there was staff around, otherwise you were SOL. We were told we would get the room codes after sending our passport info early the day before, but we never received them even after messaging multiple times. Staff happened to be at the hostel when we were checking in, so check in was no problem. We had asked to rent towels on the first day, but the management had already left the building and said that they were not coming back. The second day we asked for a towel again, and management said he would reach out to his volunteers to get us a towel. Around 3-4 hours later, after showering and using a t-shirt as a towel, two towels appeared in our room after dinner. It wasn’t until 3 hours after we found the towels that we received a message that someone had brought the towels to us. However, we did not have to pay a fee for the towels, so that does make up for it. I guess to summarize, the management was hard to connect with and fairly unresponsive.

The location is amazing! Also my room was really clean and organized The people is nice and the owner is very friendly :) Because of the location there’s a lot of noise from the street that in some rooms is not going to let you sleep, you can use some earplugs

Great location and self check in It states that they provide luggage storage services, but when I ask for it first they just responded “check in at 14:00”, explained again that I only need to leave my luggage at 11:00 and I am not asking for check in this time, they ignored me.

Comfy, clean and quiet.

Not a single thing. Me and my partner were supposed to stay in Faro for only one night so we thought this place would do but that was a huge mistake. The owner texted me through the booking app asking for a picture of my passport through WhatsApp. The picture for the number sent on WhatsApp was of a shirtless guy and clearly was not a business account so I texted to ask for a different way to send my documentation as I didn’t feel comfortable so I asked for like an email or something. The guy responded with an incredibly rude message and constantly kept on switching to Portuguese to be rude as if translation tools don’t exist for me to be able to understand the rude messages. In the end I had to cancel and go through Booking’s customer service to get a refund days later as he wouldn’t even approve the refund after he said that I was welcomed to not come to his property and he would give me a refund. I looked up some other reviews on Google as well for this place and as it turns out multiple other people had safety issues and most of them had the issues after they went in for the stay so we were lucky I guess. I ended up scrambling to find somewhere else to stay for the night. Stay far away especially if you are a solo traveler. Overall horrible experience.

Even though it was clean and they cleaned the place every day, on the ceiling of the bathrooms were covered in mold.
