Family-run for over 100 years, this traditional hotel is located in the pedestrian zone in the historic old town of Feldkirch. Lovingly furnished with many antiquities, Gutwinski Hotel combines the charm and ambiance of a 16th-century town house with the comfort of a modern hotel. The individually designed rooms are tastefully furnished in Biedermeier style. Car access to Hotel Gutwinski through the pedestrian zone is allowed for hotel guests.

The location is great, in the center of the old town, next to all the restaurants and beautiful streets. Also, right next to Schattenburg Castle. The room was nice, as expected. Also a good word about the parking, it's very comfortable and close to the hotel. I took the room specifically because it stated they have A/C, since we reached Feldkirch in the middle of a heat wave. The A/C was very poor and didn't have an effect on temperature (maximum half a degree). If you're arriving in a season which isn't hot, this won't be a problem at all. Also, even the slightest movement on the floor made the wardrobe rattle loudly.

Some room areas have a very haunted aura.. first we wanted to change ours but then realized that ours actually still had the best aura.

Staff, location, outstanding breakfast I would have preferred: more English speaking tv; Nespresso/ kettle in room; advertised international papers but none were present; possibly short 45-75 minutes- happy hour with reduced cost drinks to meet other guests
