My solo stay at Ville Sull’Arno was beyond amazing. The indoor pool was like a mermaids grotto which both amazed and excited me. The outdoor pool was beautiful and had ample sun beds and shade during the summer. The best thing about the property was the buffet breakfast - I have never experienced such amazing buffet food. There were so many options and so many artisanal and unique foods that I wouldn’t have expected like raw honeycomb. It was absolutely delicious. The next best thing was the shuttle bus which saved me so much money in going in and out of the town as the hotel is away from the main town. My room was kept so tidy by the housekeeping. I thought that the one dinner I had at the in house restaurant was delicious and refreshing I thought that the pool hours were too limited (only 10am until 7pm) Considering the sun wasn’t down in summer at 7pm and the heat was still stifling I would expect that in summer the pool hours should be extended to late at night. Considering there’s no life guard presence I don’t see what the issue is in keeping the pool open from earlier in the morning until late at night in summer. I also would appreciate having later pick up and drop off times into and from the hotel with the shuttle bus as the times were very limited but I loved the shuttle bus option none the less.

Pool was not too big, but very, very nice. Breakfast very tasty The gym was very small, with only a treadmill, another cardio machine, and a bench with dumbbells. Water running from the shower in to the room, because the doors could not be closed completly

This property was a hidden oasis. It was quiet & tranquil. From the moment we walked in the door I felt relieved to be out of the city centre but close enough to enjoy what Florence has to offer. The property offers a free shuttle into centre & the pool was exactly what we needed to escape the heat. We chose to have dinner in the restaurant & we were not disappointed. Our room was spectacular over looking the river (RM140) it was a suite & the bed was amazing and the little touches did not go unnoticed! There was complimentary water & we also had a coffee machine in our room. We would definitely stay there again & recommend!

We’ve stayed in this hotels many times bc we always liked the accommodation and the service however this last time we had a different experience and very bad service. Particularly the breakfast staff at the hotel were incredibly bad mooded, the food on the buffet was never being replaced and our orders took ages to arrive.

I didn’t stay I checked in and checked out within 1 hr. I liked when I was checking out the staff member David was very positive about getting situation refunded and apologized. However end result one day refunded and the rest I still needed to pay even though I did not use one thing of the facilities or even sit in a chair for that matter. On 28 June, I travelled from Rome and arrived at the hotel at approximately 5:00 p.m. I selected this property because it was advertised as a five-star hotel, carried a review score of over 9/10, and was classified by Booking.com as “Wonderful.” Based on the listing, photographs, and consistently positive reviews, I expected accommodation that reflected the standards associated with a luxury five-star property. Unfortunately, the hotel fell significantly short of those expectations. From the moment I arrived, the experience was disappointing. There was no welcome or assistance on arrival, and the immediate surroundings of the hotel were not consistent with the impression created by the listing. The area overlooked ageing residential buildings, construction works, and an unattractive riverside embankment, creating an environment that was far removed from what I expected when booking a luxury hotel. Inside the hotel, I was greeted by a receptionist who was neither welcoming nor particularly professional. Concerned that I may have arrived at the wrong property, I asked the receptionist to confirm the hotel’s official rating. She confirmed that it was a five-star hotel. However, the condition of the property did not support this classification. The public areas appeared dated, lacked cleanliness, and had an unpleasant odour. Our room was dusty, poorly presented, and overlooked construction works and neglected apartment buildings. The overall standard of maintenance and presentation was substantially below what was advertised on Booking.com. We also inspected the spa facilities, hoping they would reflect the advertised quality of the hotel. Unfortunately, the spa also had an unpleasant smell and did not appear clean or inviting. It was not a facility that I felt comfortable using.

We stayed at this hotel for the final three days of our honeymoon, and unfortunately it fell well below the standard we expected from a five-star property. From the moment we arrived, the experience was disappointing. There was an event taking place, and it felt as though the reception staff were far more focused on that than on welcoming arriving guests. Check-in was rushed and impersonal, with none of the warm hospitality or attention to detail you would normally expect from a luxury hotel. Our room was much smaller than anticipated and barely accommodated two suitcases. The air conditioning struggled throughout our stay, leaving the room uncomfortably warm during the heat wave and resulting in several sleepless nights. Overall, the hotel felt dated. The décor appeared tired, and the general standard did not reflect the premium price being charged. The pool area was particularly disappointing. The pool looked unclean, with visible slime on the steps and adjoining wall. I actually slipped while getting out of the pool because of this. There were also missing tiles in the seating area within the pool, which suggested a lack of maintenance. The area was consistently overcrowded, making it difficult to relax. We had also expected a peaceful and relaxing setting, but this was not the case due to the extensive road works taking place around the hotel. The constant construction noise significantly detracted from the atmosphere and made it difficult to enjoy what should have been a tranquil end to our honeymoon. Another frustration was that guests had to pay for cold drinking water during an extreme heat wave. At a hotel claiming to offer a five-star experience, complimentary drinking water should be readily available. The shuttle service was also inadequate, especially in such high temperatures, leaving us to spend an additional €20 on taxis to and from Florence city centre because walking simply wasn't practical.
