Excellent location to explore Florence. Not a lot of luxury, but clean room and bathroom are exactly what you need.

Lost ring

The staff was friendly The room was VERY filthy, and outdated. There was a drop of dried urine on the toilet seat, the bathroom floor had dirt, the faucets were dirty, the overall room was outdated, dirty and rusty and smelling of mildew. The towels had stains and the bedsheets were not clean. It was a very unpleasant and uncomfortable stay. I will never recommend it. No matter how the location is, it’s not worth it

The location was walkable to every thing we wanted to do in Florence. Within blocks we had restaurants of all varieties of cusine.

My wife Susan is a dual citizen USA and Italian. I, John is a dual citizen USA and Czech. We are in our 70's. We live in Foligno, Italy. There are many wonderful reviews. We live in Italy because we love italian food. Every detail by an Italian chef has the heart of the chef and all those that grow the vergetables, the fruits, the chicken, the beef, details matter. Coming from the heart matters. Foligno is a medievel town. I see artisans spending a day or more on a stone. There is a rich feeling to it. Le stanze dei Ghibellini has that feeling. We felt like guests. What matters to us is how we felt and they excelled. Enjoy your stay. It comes from the heart. Having to leave..

The location was great and it was easy access, management communicated quickly and guided us through check-in process. Nice and quiet room. The bed was a bit uncomfortable, it felt uneven and lumpy. The wifi did not reach our room (number 3), there was only spotty connection right by the door, which was inconvenient.

Great location, central to everything. Comfortable bed. The walls are paper thin. You can hear everyone else in the property talking, walking and doing whatever, the staff is very loud in the morning. Any time anyone ever comes through the buildings front door there is a doorbell that rings very loud in the main area, but because the walls are paper thin you also hear a very loud “ding ding” in the room. This happens at all hours of the night depending who’s in the building. There’s also VERY LOUD construction on the river road outside the building. You’re rolling the dice booking this room with having quiet guests also booking. There is NO wifi in the room, the router is too far away and doesn’t reach the room outside one corner which only gives you one bar and slow wifi making it very frustrating. The bathroom water pressure is horrendous, shower turns off and on, you get good pressure for 2min before it’s a small trickle on the tile wall making it very challenging to actually shower or wash hair. The bed is comfortable enough but there is no fitted sheet on the bed only a straight sheet which is kind of weird. The main light switch for the room is outside the room, we were sleeping and one of our neighbours accidentally switched on our light at 3am waking us up and startling us. For the price we paid there is definitely better options out there. Stay elsewhere, you’re body and mind will thank you

It was spacious,high ceilings and clean. The doors of the room might need better isolation to provide more silence

Staff, location, room. The only thing I didn’t like was having to go up stairs but I’m getting old so it’s nobody’s fault. That’s the only reason I wouldn’t go back.

Great location right by the river and most sites and museums within 10min walks Shower was small / tight to fit in and the pressure was a little low, sometimes water running cool for a moment. overall it's ok.

Perfect location. The stuff really nice. The air conditioner does not work well at all. The pressure in the shower is really low. The pillows are really uncomfortable. There is always noise from upstairs at night.

Amazing location. Walking distance to everything.

Just the location We were very disappointed with our stay. Arrived after the advertised check-in time - and our room was not ready. The door was being replaced, the beds were unmade and the room had clearly not been cleaned. We were told to leave our luggage and return in an hour. Supposedly, we should have received a message from Gloria advising us of the delay, but we never did. Received a message at 13.26, providing instructions on how to enter the property. Disappointed we left to have lunch and explore the city. We returned around 5pm to find the beds had been made but the room was still dirty - dust and debris on the floor, and hair still in the shower as before. Clearly a proper cleaning had not taken place. The next day we had an early excursion booked. Breakfast was only available from 8am, and I messaged Gloria asking if she could help arrange a taxi and if there was any possibility of having an earlier breakfast. While she did send some taxi contact numbers and said she would check about breakfast, we never heard back. The only redeeming feature was the central location, which made sightseeing easier. Breakfast was minimal and disappointing- mostly pastries like croissants and cakes, with a small platter of ham, cheese and salami, no variety and not suitable for people with dietary restrictions. Cups were all mix and match. The room itself was dated and not very clean. We were only able to open the window on our last day after pulling hard, as the frame was bent and partially jammed. Overall, the experience fell far short of our expectations, especially given the price, with better options in the surrounding area. The photos to advertise the property were very misleading and the level of service was not acceptable.

The place is positioned perfectly, all the main attractions are within a couple of minutes walking. An extra bonus plus points are going to the lovely staff.

Lovely spot in a fantastic location. Staff were very nice and we found are room to be very comfortable!
