Hotel Margaret

Hotel Margaret is very quaint. The host and the caretaker were very nice and helpful. It was very close to the train station and walking distance to many sites. I stayed only one night. I had a very small, charming room with a shower (terrific water pressure) and sink in it but no bathroom/toilet. Other rooms in the hotel do have in-room facilities. My room faced the courtyard which was so peaceful. It has classic shutters and windows that I was able to keep open for a breeze. The room has an A/C which was practically silent for a perfect night's sleep. There are several restaurants on the street including one that makes fresh pasta in the window and one right next door. The hotel is very near the train station making it very convenient to get to the all points in Italy or take the tram directly to the airport. FYI - you can tap and go with your credit card, no need to buy tickets. There is an elevator in the building but for some reason it was either not working or not for guests. The host and caretaker helped me carry my bag up and down the stairs. Let them know if you have any difficulties walking or carrying your bags.

Close to the train station The big bed was rlly just two small pushed together and the towels were quick dry not actually towels. Also my toilet didn’t work and I had to use the hotel toilet and got walked in on.

Another standout feature is the staff. Everyone was exceptionally polite, friendly, and helpful throughout my stay. The service was excellent from check-in to check-out, and the team was always willing to assist with any questions or requests. For the price, it’s a good deal.

Good location, near the train station and also a quick walk to most places. Some good restaurants very close by. It is an old building, very loud when you flush.

The location is perfect to visit the historic sites as well as connecting to airport and train station. It’s walking distance to the train station connecting to the airport by T2 line with only 1.7 euros No coffee machine in the room and mini fridge

Nice location close to the cultural center of Florence. I appreciated the old world vibe in the room and the space. Nice staff who allowed me to leave my bags for the day. The only downside to this place was noise from the street at night. It was a busy area and I had to wear earplugs. Otherwise, it was a great spot!

It is near the train station and it was easy to get to all the places and restaurants.

Nothing, all as expected and a bit more even. Sometimes these cheap places are a bit rundown, but not this one! Recommended for those on a budget

Excellent location close to Santa Maria Novella station, with many restaurants and supermarkets nearby, as well as easy access to the historical city centre and Florence’s main landmarks. The host is very kind and friendly. I highly recommend this place and would happily come back again.

The walls are a bit thin, so you could hear people from neighbouring rooms, but it was not anything terrible.

The only negative (barely a negative) was the toilet made a funny noise when flushing.

Our room was facing the road and it was very noisy all night long. I would stay there again but would make sure l have a different room.

Availability of warm water in the shower was dependent upon whether or not another guest had recently used it. Space between toilet seat and wall was fine for anyone under 5'9 inches.

I would have preferred standard cotton towels in the bathroom.
