Hampton Inn by Hilton Irvine East - Lake Forest

Everything was perfect except the rooms were very outdated. The shower had rust on the handles and the carpets were pretty dirty.

Great location easy to access. The staff was very friendly. We were arriving at around midnight called to save us a room. They did the only reason I gave three stars is because when we got to the pool, there were no towels available for us to use and we had to use our room towels and another reason is the food they offer at breakfast is just poor selection being that I am I am in need of high protein. The hard-boiled eggs were not fresh hard-boiled. They were pre-boiled and the oatmeal was undercooked and pasty. They are still serving full of sugar no protein yogurt when everyone else is using Greek yogurt, powdered eggs, and mystery meat sausage this breakfast is a little outdated and needs to be revisited.

Hotel was overbooked and did not offer alternative accommodation. I was left in the middle of the night with no accommodation due to this hotel failure. Fortunately, I was able to secure another place that night, but it was stressful experience. I had to escalate to booking to receive the refund.

Rooms smelled pretty bad and found a public hair in my bed.

I was disappointed to find chairs in the dining area turned upside down on the tables all day. It felt like we were checking into a closed environment.. unfriendly. If the management doesn't want people sitting there, customers have less places to sit.
