Tru by Hilton Fort Lauderdale Downtown

The Tru by Hilton is great, my only complaint is that I asked the night shift manager if there was a possibility for late checkout? And I kept getting told that they didn't know and that I had to wait until the morning.

Small, but clean room. Breakfast was good. Good place to stay for both airport and cruise terminal.

The property was very well maintained and the staff was friendly and helpful. However, the room size was extremely small for a family of four. During our stay, there was a strong sewage smell on the 16th floor and the 5th floor (near the gym).

This was probably one of the worst Hilton hotels I’ve stayed at. There were roaches in the rooms, breakfast was nasty, the hot water dispenser for tea in the lobby area was cold, and the keycard for the parking garage was inoperable. I had to step out of my vehicle and walk across to press the call button each time I needed to get into the paid parking garage.

Very friendly staff! I travelled with my pet and they were all super friendly and welcoming towards the both of us!

Stayed one night before cruise. Close to Port. Lots of restaurants around. Clean and safe area.

Breakfast was good, the wait for pancakes , one by one by one, caused quite a delay as well as the ONLY 2 waffle makers added the agony of waiting over 10 minutes. Grits, oatmeal and cereal were great 👍. In all if there is not an event going on the breakfast lines would be tolerable.

Overall nice and friendly staff. Only complaint was our room had no hot water to shower.

Very clean and staff was very nice

The room was clean, downstairs staff were friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was adequate. The pool area was nice and the gym was excellent for a little work out during my short stay. It's close to restaurants, coffee shops and all other needed places on vacation. We will definitely use this hotel again for our next trip to Fort Lauderdale. Also walking distance to the Brightline station which is super convenient.

Rude staff, dirty room, sold expired chips, did not care about our experience, homeless people camping out a block away, area not safe... would NEVER recommend or stay again-- shame on Hilton!

The breakfast was included. Coffee and juices were great! The food quality was kind of poor. Best thing I had was the bagel and the oatmeal. We had an issue with our shower head and they sent someone to fix it right away which was great. The maintenance man was super sweet. The air conditioning at this hotel is kind of outdated. I enjoyed my stay as best as I can. Staff was friendly and accommodating. So 50/50 for me. I still enjoyed my stay with my husband but wished there was some things that could of been different.
