Oike Hotel

We stayed here for one night so we could see Mt. Fuji before we went back to Tokyo. The bath and observation deck had nice views. It was also very close to the beach, which also had nice views. The hotel picks you up and brings you back to the station, which was great. We added breakfast, and the food was very good. The lobby was pretty cool and it had local wine tasting. This was one of the most expensive places we stayed on our trip, and it did not seem offer the same quality of experience as some of the others that were actually cheaper. Everything was nice, but very simple. It seemed like we were paying for the location and the view from the bath.

Great view of Fuji

We were very lucky to have a view of Mount Fuji. The location is excellent, and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. It’s great that you can reserve a private onsen as well.

Staff is relatively friendly. Vending downstairs and staff will give change for bills. Decent location near Lawson and bridge to view Fuji. Place felt dirty and gross. Air conditioner smelled like pee. Bedsheet was too small for bed. Killed two bugs in the bathroom. The washing machines dont dry clothes well, had to run 6 drying cycles for one load of clothes. The pictures of the rooms online were nice, but in person the rooms look like a janky motel. Definitely not worth the price paid.

Reliable service, great amenities and good location.

That was the most expensive hotel during my stay in Japan, but the experience was not the best, as well as memories. If some hotels you don't want to leave, here I tried to minimize staying in the room - it was dated and felt untidy, the ventilation is very noizy - I had to turn it off. The place on the wall where suppose to be picture or smth was empty, but hooks where still there. I booked a hotel with a view - but as I understand there are 2 high floors - at the 4th the view of Mt.Fuji was crossed with electric pole, cabels and parking lot. Maybe at the 5th is better. Staff behavior was a bit strange, not really welcoming. Breakfast - diverse, but not delicious. Location is not convenient (you need to use the bus to get anywhere).

Quite clean and very kind staff

The service was outstanding, and everything was spotless. Breakfast was excellent, and the facilities were well-maintained. The stunning view of Mount Fuji alone makes the stay worthwhile. The location is also very convenient. The price is on the higher side, and if you forget to book dinner in advance (like we did), dining options nearby at night are quite limited. Don't forget to book dinner in advance!

Staff were very helpful and went out of their way to assist with my luggage shipment. The onsen facilities were large and clean. We also enjoyed the free donuts and beverages in the lobby area. The bathroom in our room smelled a little funny, so we left the ventilation fan on most of the time.

The bathroom is exceptionally small, in fact the entire room is smaller than usual hotel. Only the public area is comfortable. Wine tasting machine is nice. Open air bath is not worth trying.

The decor, cleanliness, and overall atmosphere were amazing. The staff were welcoming and the amenities were top-tier. Both the indoor and outdoor onsens were incredibly relaxing, and my room had a stunning view of Mount Fuji. Breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of options. Honestly, there was nothing I didn’t like. Everything exceeded my expectations.

Nothing. The section we were in which was the annexed building had a horrendous old person/urine smell. The so called onsen water had chlorine in it which we were not informed and caused an allergic reaction. Was so bad we actually left after the first night even knowing we had spent 1500 for the next night as well which was non refundable.

The room and view of Fuji was honestly out of this world. Were were so lucky to have clear amazing view of fuji from our private bath and room on our stay. Sadly fuji is shy so she was hiding when we woke up. We only had a 1 night stay I wish it was longer. Great location for exploring the area and the view if fuji is worth it!

Great location and Mount Fuji views were amazing! The beds are very uncomfortable, extremely expensive for what you get.

We booked a traditional Japanese room with Fuji view. The traditional room was clean, comfortable and a lot of fun to experience. Mt Fuji appeared in our window on our first morning and was beautiful. The staff was very friendly and helpful in arranging taxis and dinner reservations. Other than the traditional room, the hotel seemed a bit basic, but the Mt Fuji view and wonderful staff made it a wonderful experience. Traditional futon was a little firm at first, but figured out how to make it more comfortable. Not many dining options in the immediate area, but some within walkable distance and many more a short cab ride away.

Beautiful view of Fuji from a hot jacuzzi! This will always stay with me in my memories! Great experience ! Traditional , cosy hotel! Excellent location!
