La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Galveston North at I-45

The person working the front desk, Larry was very friendly and helpful. But the room was very musty smelling and the beds had mildew on them. The lady helping with the breakfast was not friendly at all! I would not stay here again.

No complaints. Everything was great.

Trying to find the lobby and then how to get to the rooms was a little odd. Staff were friendly, room was clean enough, but the rooms definitely need some updating.

Terrible experience

I’m shocked this has an 8/10 rating. This was probably the worst hotel I’ve stayed in prior to a cruise. The front desk lady was very nice, but that’s about it for positives. From the moment we walked in it smelt off. Like a moldy mildew kind of smell. Turning the AC on made it worse. The room overall was dirtier than it should have been. It looked like it hadn’t been stayed in for weeks and they just let the room collect dust. No cleaning before our check in. Upon leaving, we saw a pulled out AC unit from one of the rooms just sitting in the hallway COVERED in dust and black mold. Stay away from here.

Everything was good only had one issue our ac went out they gave us another room we was happy. We will come back it was awesome no regrets

Room was good. Breakfast was ok. Staff was great. My guest that was with me was in a wheelchair. They had there own shower chair with them and it was accidently left. Called the hotel when we realized it was left. They went to the room and retrieved the chair and have it for us to pickup. Thank you for your assistance.

Shower had mildew in it. AC and air vents had dust all over them. Probably one of the dirtiest hotels I've stayed in. First stop on a family vacation. 16 of us staying in multiple rooms had the same issues. Don't recommend this place.

We have stayed at this hotel many times because of the inside pool. The pool was closed and had been for over a week. I would have used another hotel if I was aware the pool was not available for my grandchildren. My only problem with this hotel.

When we got to our room, the temperature was 79 degrees. It took nearly four hours before the room finally became somewhat comfortable enough to relax. The room also wasn’t as clean as it should have been. The sheets had visible stains, and there was hair on the toilet in the restroom. Breakfast was another letdown. Much of the food seemed stale, making it difficult to enjoy. This was actually our second time staying here. During our first visit, the fire alarms went off throughout the night, and we barely got any sleep. We decided to give the hotel another chance, hoping for a much better experience, but unfortunately, this stay was even worse. Based on our experience , we won’t be returning and cannot recommend this hotel.

When we got there the rooms were not that clean, there were used shampoo/ conditioners already. Never got new towels or washrags the whole stay. They only cleaned the room once and the breakfast was mid. The eggs were undercooked and nasty. The only good thing about the breakfast was the waffles. For how much you pay you might as well rent a beach house on the water with a group! Wouldn’t recommend honestly, wasn’t that great

When we arrived at the property at 1030pm I walked by a lady outside talking loudly to someone on the phone. I didn’t think anything of it and thought she was just arguing with someone . I go to the front desk,,no one‘s there I start calling to the open door behind the front desk for someone and no response. Anyhow, another five minutes passes by and the lady that was outside. Arguing comes in and she’s the person that was running the front desk mind you. She’s still on the phone arguing with whoever she was on the phone arguing with. She asks me if I can take a king size bed. I said no we booked a room with my two children and my wife and need two double beds. She says oh let me see what I can do. Which I thought was weird. She walks in the office, talks to somebody at about 45 minutes later comes back out and says oh I have somebody cleaning your room right now.. mind you this is in the middle of the night. The room should’ve been cleaned. Anyways, I get checked and go upstairs and there’s still a guy in the room for the next 15 minutes cleaning the room. Finally got in the room and the floor was filthy stuff everywhere un vacuumed completely nasty. The next morning we wake up to go get the breakfast and it was horrible. Worst continental breakfast. I think I’ve ever had zero staff to help out get more silverware plates napkins. Everything was out no one was around. Not a recommend hotel.

Good hotel, just needs a little more cleaning in the rooms

We stayed 4 days in 2 rooms. Upon arrival our room was dirty. The floor was not vacuumed. I had to wipe everything down myself and pick up trash from off the floor. The floors in the hallways look like they have never been vacuumed. The property is newer, but is not maintained. The building is in worse shape than much older hotels. Housekeeping NEVER once came to clean our room. We never received new towels or additional soap in our rooms. Everyone was having to leave their trash in the hallways because no one was cleaning the rooms. The breakfast was horrible. The microwave eggs were disgusting and powdery. The oranges in the fruit bowl were rotten. The coffee ran out quickly and was rarely refilled. The laundry room, floors, elevators and bathrooms were filthy. This was extremely disappointing for a Wyndham property. I will never stay here again and do not recommend this facility.

Dirty floors, towels are dirty. Bathtub is slippery causing me to slip and fall.

Breakfast eggs were cold and sausage hard on one day and no eggs or sausages next day. Muffins tasted old

Beutiful building but thr room, old bed,smell, no shampoo,no body wash, then when I ask for some towels house keeping lady send me to talk the front desk,I call the front desk lady litlle rude,any how La Quinta is not longer like it was, but there is always somebody make you feel good Brandy one of the front desk lady when I arrive and on my check out simple the best extramile recomending places to go and have dinner with my wife since was my birthday on my check in day excellent customer service from her, other than that sorry only one star
