This place is beautiful, the attention to detail makes all the difference. The pool is lovely to cool off in, the grounds are well taken care of and our room had everything we could want.

Huge room with doors thay open to pool area. Very quiet at night, close to many eateries and shopping. Gorgeous old building. Shower water not hot.

- Friendly staff - 24h reception - Strong smell of old age and dust in the house. - The house and the sheets were dirty, and the place did not feel clean overall. - Sewer odor coming from the bathroom.

The overall design is beautiful and it’s located in a good area. This is one of my very few negative review after over 10 years on Booking.com. I originally booked a 3-night stay. The check-in and initial experience were fine, however on the first night I had difficulty sleeping due to very damp air in the room and began experiencing persistent coughing and sneezing. I have allergies, and the reaction was significant enough that my partner had to go out late at night to find antihistamine medication. The next morning, after spending time outside the room, my symptoms stopped. Assuming it might be dust-related, I requested housekeeping. When we returned, the cleaning appeared incomplete, and additional cleaning was done after a second request. Unfortunately, after spending more time in the room, my allergic reaction returned and was noticeably worse. Due to health concerns, we decided we could not continue the stay. We informed the front desk and were advised to contact the hotel via Booking.com regarding a refund for the remaining nights, as payment had already been made through the platform. To date, we have received no response from the hotel, nor any information regarding the situation, room condition, or steps taken to ensure a clean and safe environment. This lack of communication was especially disappointing, as we also stayed at another property within the same group during this trip and had a very positive experience there. Overall, the issue was not only the room, but the absence of follow-up, explanation, or reassurance regarding guest health and safety. I strongly recommend to avoid staying here, especially if you have allergies and prioritize responsiveness.

The room was beautiful - very large with a sitting area. It had an old historic feel to it but was very clean and modern at the same time. Lots of light. The staff were amazing and very friendly and helpful. The location was great.

The hotel is beautiful, in a heritage building. The details of the decor are charming and functional. The room was spacious and clean. The location is perfect if you want to explore Georgetown on foot. Lots of options for wonderful food nearby. The matress was quite hard.

I appreciated the architecture and the decoration was super. My room felt a bit weathered. The sofa was could have been dusted better and some of the tv channels were unclear. The bed was hard, perhaps a topper would do the trick. The pillows could be better too as I found them to be thin. Perhaps a combination of firm and soft? As I was travelling for work, sleep was a priority after a day of walking in town. I chose the hotel because the bed looked comfy and I was going to spend my evening in the room. I did want to sit around outside at night with a drink and a book, but it didn't feel lively enough (dark) and not much happening on the property, perhaps people who visit just kept in their own rooms like me!

I loved the vibe. It was such a beautiful, elegant space. Also the staff were super friendly.

parking spot could be a challenge

The mansion is simply very charming and is made for people who love getting back in time and appreciate fine antics decoration. The pool is lovely, the staff super helpful and the room are very well decorated with a lot of taste, and some small imperfections which make the whole place very charming. we really like out stay. however, if you like very modern hotel, where everything is ‘sanitized’, maybe this is not for you.

Amazing building and rooms - beautiful colonial architecture The location could be more central, but it’s walkable to Chulia and downtown

The staff was so friendly and allowed a late check out of 2:00 pm with no extra charge. The hotel had a quaint charm and style. The pool was a welcome respite from heat. The loft room was spacious. Hotel communicated well through booking message system. The bed downstairs was very hard. The air conditioning seemed to turn off at night and it was quite warm in the loft area upstairs.
