My family and I had a wonderful stay at the Penang Marriott. We booked sea-view rooms, and they certainly did not disappoint. The breakfast spread was excellent. Special thanks to Zac and the front desk team for being so warm and helpful throughout our stay. We hope to return to this lovely place again soon.

We needed a good break after a busy year and Marriott Penang did not disappoint. Our entire stay was wonderful from the friendly & courteous staff from reception, concierge & room cleaning staff through to the waiters at the restaurant & bar. Our room was Seaview and wonderfully appointed, clean & comfortable. Location was fantastic. We walked to Gurney Plaza & Paragon every day (takes about 10 to 15 mins) and did refreshing morning walks along the promenade opposite the road. We left there very happy & revived. Every cent spent there was worth it. Everything was fantastic at the hotel. No complaints whatsoever.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Penang Marriott Hotel. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a wide variety, and the bar was a great place to unwind. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful. The facilities were impressive. We really enjoyed the swimming pool and steam room. The location is also very convenient, within walking distance to eateries, malls, and Gurney Park. In-room dining exceeded our expectations. Room service was top-notch, and the turn-down service was a lovely touch. We also had the New Year’s Eve dinner buffet and thoroughly enjoyed it. A special mention to the team for decorating the room for my wife’s birthday and surprising us with a cake. Such a thoughtful and memorable gesture. Overall, a flawless experience and truly deserving of a 10 out of 10. Highly recommended, and we would gladly stay here again. Nothing to mention.

Where to begin? The facilities were fabulous, food fantastic, turn down service sensational, but their greatest asset- the staff! The staff, from walking through the front door after an exhausting day of travel, to jumping in the car back to the airport on the day of departure, were beyond exceptional. No area of the hotel lacked when it came to their staff. Truly impressive. Everything was on point. There was nothing I did not like.

Very helpful staff. Offered ideas where to eat. Room was comfortable and clean. Ate at Rasa Sayang Nyonya abd Kafka Cafe which were within walking distance. Very nice food . Small issue. Shopping mall 20 min walk away.

I loved everything here, including the breakfast, but my checkout experience was very frustrating. During check-in, I specifically asked to pay for everything upfront—all charges and taxes—so I wouldn’t have to waste time at checkout. The staff assured me that everything was settled and that I could simply drop off my room card when leaving. However, during checkout, I was suddenly told that I had to pay an additional RM156. When I asked what the charge was for, the receptionist couldn’t explain and made me wait while they clarified. After wasting my time, they finally said it was for tax. This was incredibly frustrating because I had clearly stated during check-in that I wanted all taxes included, and the staff confirmed that everything was paid. Please stop making things unnecessarily complicated—just include all charges during check-in. If I order room service, I understand paying at checkout, but this kind of miscommunication is unacceptable. It completely threw off my plan, and I hate dealing with situations like this. The check in and check out proccess was very fast. Opposite the hotel there a beautiful park for walking along the seaside and its good for kids. Food can be found all along the hotel area.
