Room is comfortable but tiny, and the price has gone up 30% since our last visit, so we won’t be staying there again. It’s still the cleanest, cheapest room w/private bathroom you’ll find in the heritage zone on Booking—and unless you’re a party kid, you’ll want that private bathroom, unless you like sharing space with dudes whose late night nasi kandar didn’t agree with their 10 pints of Tiger the night before. Oh well—maybe the off-season price will go back down. Anyways, still recommended for tourists!

The staff and laid back atmosphere Outlet too far from the desk

The room was compact but clean and well-maintained. The bed was comfortable, and I appreciated the fresh linens and towels. The design is minimalist with some bright color accents, which adds a bit of personality to the otherwise simple space. Great for solo travelers or short stays. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff were friendly. The location is central—within walking distance to cafes, street food, and local attractions. Not ideal for longer stays or if you have large suitcases. If your room is on the second floor and you're carrying luggage, stairs might be inconvenient as the building seems to be a traditional two-story structure.

It was clean n comfortable. The brochures available at the lobby was useful to cover the important sights of Penang. Pantry was ? Location was gr8. Enjoyed our stay.

Good central location just behind Chulia Street. Self check-in was easy even at 1am. Rooms are as shown in the photos here, basic amenities with smart doors using digital locks. The shared spaces are well equipped with hangers, drying racks, a pantry, and even ironing facilities, great for those who need them. No soundproofing at all, you can hear loud footsteps, conversations, and even small actions like zipping bags, both from the corridor and neighboring rooms. They're popular for late arrivals. One night, a group arrived at 4am and were incredibly loud for an hour. Adding signs to remind guests to keep noise levels down after 10pm would help.
