Too many beds in one room

I loved the layout of the common area, separate coworking space, ample bathroom facilities, dorm layouts. I slept like an absolutely baby - amazing mattress, pillow, and blanket! It’s a great social environment (it is what you make it to be) in not a crazy party way! Just what I was looking for in my hostel stay in Georgetown!

Amazing location at the heart of Georgetown, everything is accessible at a walkable distance. It's also in very pretty streets. The people of the hostel are great, bonus for the oat milk lattes and the awesome playlist! I really had an amazing time, people are helpful and respectful (I was pleasantly surprised by the quietness of the rooms). Bonus also for the lockers, very convenient. Cosy, safe, social... Loved it!

Some Place Else has hands down one of the best coworking spaces I have experienced in any hostel in SE Asia. It has a cozy café on ground floor, with occasional movie nights, it has great community vibe. The location is perfect—walkable to almost everything in Georgetown—and the staff are genuinely humble and friendly.

It is a great hostel, great staff and facilities. There are lockers, place to hang clothes to dry, multiple bathrooms and toilets. It is clean. There is also a working room. The dirm is big but was quiet. The beds feel private enough with the curtains. The AC works well. The temperature in the dorm was ideal not too cold. The hostel organizes many activities as well Nothing

Good location, walking distance to many popular spots. Staffs are friendly and they have a very very cute cat. And they also have movie nights, very interesting activities I think its a bit dim in the dorm at the bed i mean.

This was my first time staying in a hostel, and honestly, Some Place Else exceeded every expectation—it was even better than staying at a hotel. The entire space is modern, clean, and clearly designed with love and attention to detail. As a solo traveler, I often feel a bit lonely on the road, but that wasn’t the case here. The hostel offers social activities every night, making it super easy to meet people. I made friends by my second night! It’s truly a great place to connect with other travelers from all over the world. The beds were comfortable and spotless, with great lighting and excellent air quality. Bathrooms and showers are ALWAYS clean, with hot and cold water available around the clock. Despite the social atmosphere, the vibe was calm and relaxing when you needed downtime. I especially loved the co-working space, kitchen and rooftop—perfect spots to unwind alone or hang out with new friends. The location is also ideal, right in the heart of Georgetown. I’m already planning to come back just to stay here again. Can’t recommend it enough—Some Place Else is a gem!

I really liked this spot. Dorms had aircon and you had a locker for your things. Great rooftop area with kitchen. Events everyday. Only the dorms and the downstairs area have aircon so cold showers were nice, lol.

Great location - in the middle of the old town, close to street foods and many bars and restauranst. You can discover main Georgetown points by the walk. It is located in the quiet street so you don't hear any music or noise from the neighbourhood. Rooms are very spacious with good and comfortable beds and air conditioning working all the time. Everyone gets access to safe locker where you can put all your luggage. Given the number of beds, the number of available toilets and showers is very low.

Very clean, comfortable and good facilities. Modern social area and the bedrooms the perfect temperature. Not very social but only stayed one night so not much to go off

Exceptional

Smooth check-in and the owner organized daily activities to the guests. Aircon in the common area are strong enough and binny bag is comfortable. The lights at the corridor alley from the dorm room to the bathroom are all off from 11pm onwards to the morning of next day and the locker are located there. I have to use my torch light of my handphone to stay visible. They should not hide the switch or set up an intelligence light (sensor light) to ease the guests.

Exceptional

The dorm is safe and quiet, comfortable for sleeping. The lobby is big and chill. They also have motorbike rental and the motorbike is very new at reasonable price.
