The curtain allows light pass through in the morning at 5 pm. I had to use eye mask

Dinner is delicious but breakfast is fair. Having a lot of dust on the curtain, floor and a cover of pillow is not clean.

having dinner & b'fast in the room is the selling point to me the private onsen is out-of-dated. It is too dark and too small in space.

The private onsen room looks awful. The quality of the dinner is ok only.

The food was excellent, and the staff were great. The location was convenient (about 10 min by foot) The wifi on the main floor worked fine, but did not work too well in our room on the second floor.

The property is a little far from the train station but the hotel provides transportation between station and hotel although it’s limited time. The day we visit is very windy and cold hence we didn’t go out at night and missed the night views of Gero.

The food is superb, everything is fresh and delightful. The staff lady was very helpful, she patiently introduce every dish to us.

Nice tatami room, spatious, clean and comfortable. They served breakfast and diner in our room, food was well plated, copious and tasty. Ice and warm water available. Someone came to prepare the futons for us. Room has toilet and private bathroom but also common onsen in the basement and the rotenburo on the rooftop has view on the river. They provide yukatas and slippers. Also free parking. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is on the main road and you can hear traffic at night. It rained all day but that is not the hotel fault obviously, it seems it rains a lot in the region. Gero promoters built a lot of big hotels on the riverside which ruined the view. Old town is nice.

Very cozy I am very used to buckwheat pillow but this one is small, hard and high. This is the only negative comment I have about this property
