big room bad smell in bath and in public bath, falling apart facility, I went to gero to experience their onsens but what I got is public bath acting like its onsen. And that public bath experience wasn't that pleasant

Spacious room Dated interiors badly in need of refresh Also, We left message with the front desk as the car rental company wanted to come to swap our car but that message did not get passed amongst the team members from the day to night shift. We would have thought that was a matter that could have been better handled.

I booked with breakfast and dinner included with my stay. Breakfast is from 6:30-8:00am, it is rather early for people on holiday.

In onsen dress up room no drinking water. Bed mat cover with brown fabic surface like towel.Bathroom inside the room very small and old.

It was really nice having a private onsen on the balcony of our room. The room was clean and comfortable We are non smokers and got the last room which happened to be a smoking room. They deodorized it well and it didn’t smell in our room HOWEVER; while we were sitting outside in the tub we were getting the cigarette smoke from people smoking outside around us. In addition to the smoke we were also getting gas fumes from what I assume was a gas heater. Not pleasant and definitely affected our stay. If that wasn’t bad enough our room was located right by the train line so every half an hour or so a train when roaring by just steps from our balcony. This was not the relaxing vacation we had hoped for. The food was so-so. Would I recommend Bosenkan? Absolutely NOT

The meals could be better.

Spacious. Beautiful grounds. Calm feel. The front reception wasn’t as warm as other hotels. When asking if there was any availability for dinner, we were told we might be too cheap for it. This was within the first minute of being greeted by reception.

We love private onsen both wood and rock room. Hotel is dated but understandable. Food is good. Room is dated and have a really strong smell of old wood. Furniture and light in the room could be improve.

It’s close to the railway and noisy at night .

Room was very spacious and clean and modern. Outdoor Onsen was a real treat! The communal areas were a bit dated and seemed to need a bit more care. Our room was right at the edge of the hotel near the train tracks. Thankfully the train doesn’t run all night, but the noise might bother some people.

The pictures do not match the current state of the hotel now. The current state looks much more run down. The hotel was not worth the price paid.
